Unfortunately many people today have no idea about the gratification that comes from a tangible product via craftsmanship and skills. Great job.

I laid carpet for 27 years, and estimate that I've installed approximately 75,000 to 100,000 stairs over that time (no exaggeration) I always did the stairs on my jobs while my crew stretched in the rooms. This is a great tutorial on how to wrap a bullnose. Most videos I see show the back asswards wrong way to do things. Good job. I actually prefer the cap and band method for these types of stairs, and I would have done a couple things differently, but that's just personal preference. The quality results are what matters.

I'm having difficulty getting a carpet fitter to even answer the phone never mind do the work, so may have to do it myself. this video is instructive but I note the pad (underlay) is not over the nose of the tread where other video's are. Is one any better than the other? Perhaps if it becomes too difficult I'll get a dog like you show and train him to lay over my errors.
@KeithShannonDirectCarpet2 жыл бұрын
If you can wrap the edge with pad if it’s to round opt for the straight approach/ pad over the edge can help with longevity / if you don’t wrap make sure lots of pad staples on the front edge so it does not curl up as you install
