Siku restoration of Maserati Mistral No. V 295. Toy model cast.

The beautiful Maserati Mistral model was produced by the German company Siku in the years 1968 - 1974. The Maserati presented by me is one of the first cast versions of this model. To display the subtitles in your language in the movie, please press C on the computer or the three dots on the mobile phone in the movie. It has wheels that are permanently embedded in the axles. It was a very difficult task to straighten them without destroying the plastic wheels. I also made a copy of the glass in my copy. The original windshield was badly cracked and unfit for re-installation. British car model companies produced wheels with lower rolling resistance and Siku offered the same tires. In the 1970s, this model was already equipped with new axles with fast wheels. For the complete model, I also made a copy of the cardboard box, which was very large in relation to the packed model. Siku, that name rings a bell. The little purple catalogues ( this was the 80's & 90's ) use to have a lot of awesome looking lorries & trucks like these huge Crane Lorries. Think I had at least one.

Stunning restoration work as always. I wish there were more diecast Maseratis about around 1:64 scale, in their 50+ year history Hot Wheels only made 3 Maseratis briefly, Matchbox made a Bora. I have a couple of Soviet made Mistrals in 1:43 copied I imagine from an Italian diecast brand.

Hej, możesz dać opis tego, co robisz od około 2:48? Nie bardzo rozumiem proces wykonywania nowych "szybek". Wygląda na to, że silikonowe formy wypełniasz materiałem na równo... Znając życie pewnie już kiedyś o tym było ;)

uszkodzoną szybę wypełniłem tak aby powstała całkiem gładka zewnętrzna powierzchnia. odlałem formę zewnętrzną z silikonu następnie do niej wlałem żywicę poliuretanową na równo i dostałem tak zwane kopyto, które posłużyło mi jako wzorzec do odlania rzeczywistej szyby. metoda termoformowania polega na tym że rozgrzewa się materiał w tym momencie tworzywo Pet do temperatury plastyczności i następnie opuszcza się to tworzywo na kopyto odsysając powietrze . następuje dokładne odwzorowanie kształtu.
