I don't think it's hard to believe this could be true as even Marian has her own appearance change when turned into Modernia. Plus, I'm also just hoping for a sub-unit of Nihilister. 😅

Just to stab you in the feels harder, In context of Old Tales, Anachiro's smirk before fighting Goddess Squad at the finale of Red Ash is actually Cinderella fully confident that Goddess Squad will win, having fooled the Corruption into picking a fight that it will lose. It makes her final smile when Red Hood corners and magdumps her even more tragic, as no-one should be happy to let their childhood heroes shoot them like this ;_;

I'm currently working with the assumption that each of the Old Tale members were named by the Shift Up writing team as an omen of their eventual fate. The Red Shoes is a Hans Christian Andersen story about a vain girl who, after becoming so enamored with a new pair of red dancing shoes, is cursed to have them permanently encase her feet and force her to dance until the day she dies. Red Shoes herself says she wanted to become a Nikke for the fame and power, so if her fate is an homage to the story she was named after, it's likely she was taken by the raptures and made into a heretic who will "dance until the day she dies." Of all the heretics we know of so far, there is one whose form was granted to fulfill her desire for the figurative dance of combat, so it's possible she was made into Nihilister based on that reasoning. The Little Mermaid is a H.C. Andersen story about mermaid who became aware of her mortal soul, and made a deal with a sea witch to gain an immortal spirit: lose her voice, become a human being who experienced crippling pain in her feet when she stood or walked, and marry a human male within three days, or die. On the third day, the human male marries a human woman instead, and the sea witch offers her a way out: a magic knife to kill the man with and change back into a mermaid with her original mortal lifespan before the spell takes its toll. From this, I predict that Little Mermaid became a Nikke as experimental treatment for an otherwise untreatable terminal illness, and her fate will be to make a choice between destroying someone or some group she came to hold dear in exchange for a longer life, and she will choose to die instead, and "melt into sea foam." Hansel and Gretel is a Brothers Grimm story about a brother and sister who are lured into a trap by a cannibalistic witch, and how they make their escape. In the original story, they kill their captor and make their escape, but Shift Up may very well subvert this and have one or both of them killed or corrupted. I personally hope their fate is to escape the raptures and go into hiding, waiting for us to find them again. Cinderella, as it would seem, has already carried out her story and is free to forge her own path now. She was taken into the clutches of "the evil stepmother," the Rapture Queen, used and abused and bathed in "cinders," blood, taken under the protection of "a fairy god mother," grave, and found her way into the embrace of "prince charming," the Commander and the Counters squad. In brief, I predict that the status of each of the Old Tales members by the end of this event will be as follows: Red Shoes - Deserter Little Mermaid - Killed in action or died of wounds Hansel - Missing in action Gretel - Missing in action I'm gonna need tea to calm my nerves throughout this event, I know it.

More lore for Cinderella is epic! Perhaps we are going to see the Rapture Queen: putting a face to an invisible but known enemy? I had assumed that the Rapture Queen as of the time of the game's starting point, would look like a slightly longer haired Liliweiss, since her head was taken from her body.

Based on the timeline I don't think any of the Old Tales squad could have become heretics like some are speculating. Cinderella was the first, why make that point so often if members of her own squad also became them? It's like saying which twin is the older one. However... that doesn't mean there wasn't a traitor. Red Shoes is awfully suspicious, being the only one Cinderella never mentioned, being the only one we didn't see fighting, and in that short Nikke released she said herself her joined because she desired power. She could have betrayed humanity to gain greater power but was ultimately the failed fusion experiment Goddess found in the lab.

My speculation is that the rapture some how obtained the info about the 2nd gen is currently being create and plan a tactical assault which failed cuz of the retaliation from the incomplete 2nd gen( so the meaning of "incomplete" mentioned in Red Ash is like missing a few tweaks but still fully functional). After that they decided to strike to the space lift since they've clear themselves a way after taking down the rapture force and they might not have a chance like this again and decide not to wait and group up with the goddess. In the end they got fold by the queen and cinderella was the only one got corrupt during the process so she let her went back to fight the goddess down the surface

Its gonna be real fucked up if all of Cinderella's old friends/squadmates are just the current Heretics we are dealing with in story... my biggest fear honesty is if Cinderella said she could take down the queen but failed snd was turned into a Heretic. Does that mean like shift up is setting up Marian to be the only one to take down the current queen? Like a Rapture Queen can only be dethroned by another Queen Canidate

So far thier 2 queen. The one in space with Lilith head and Marian. Indvilia and chatterbox didn’t recognize her as a queen until she put pressure in them. She was a different heretic then the other how like fourbeast. And she evokes into a queen candidate. All heretic are connected. And I think Raptillion going to have a bigger role and a help Marian train rapture to not be so hostile like with the Blue mother whale.

Doesn’t this event take place in-between Red Ash and Overzone? So how can Old Tales squad be wiped out already during red ash? Because wasn’t Cinderella meant to debut with the Goddess Squad initially before she got corrupted? Cinderella was the first second gen model completed and during red ash, there were also 2 second gen fairy tale models in development before it got destroyed by the raptures and the only things left were the remains of what was thought to be an attempt of nikke and rapture fusion. Old Tales squad shouldn’t have been formed as of yet if Cinderella was the first 2nd gen model to be completed during red ash unless I’m misremembering. It makes more sense that Cinderella recovered after her battle with the goddess squad and had her corruption removed and joined old tales with the others members.

Since usually major events in Nikke tend to have part 2 of the storyline, most likely that part 1 is the part where they fought alongside Goddess and got killed or corrupted, then part 2 is where they retrieved Cinderella after the Red Ash Event. It's also possible for the event to have a part 3 since ShiftUp already did it in the Evangelion collab.

Seems the actual story contradicts most of the video. There are still a lot of unanswered questions so far, especially with exactly where the special animation will take place in the story around the end of part 2. It seems to show Cinderella fighting what appears to be raptures judging by the red beams. Personally, I still think this takes place between the fall of Elysion labs and the defeat of Anachiro at the hands of Red Hood. Perhaps she finds a brief moment of clarity before the Queen completely purges her free will through force. Enough freedom to help her squad in one last battle against the real traitor. The bigger question is how many, if any, other members of Old Tales survived? It's clear that the remains Goddess Squad found at the Elysion labs were the parts Anachiro ripped off of them. The Nikke/Rapture fusion was likely a mass-produced model, as the time line of events wouldn't make sense otherwise.

I actually liled Grave when she was more Bulky. She looked so rough, but so cool at the same time. Super big... But the changes amde were kinda méh. Honestly, i think its a downgrade over Grave's original design.
