I wish they would make a new Saker mount compatible with the new universal thread pattern so we could use the Saker mounts on our Rifles with the BE Meyers flash hider…

How do you take that ring out if it’s stuck? That’s the video I wanted to see.
@yd8hw4 жыл бұрын
Lumeniacal you can you a screw driver or some tool to try to pull it out, but gently. What I had to do for mine. Saved about 3 oz going to a Plan B

It really depends on how it's stuck. Sometimes a thin screw driver, others just put your finger in and pull out out. It rarely gets STUCK stuck, just "in there" instead of "out there"

@@Capitolarmory I used a plastic pry bar from a car trim panel kit. One pry bar had a curve on one end. I stuck that down into the opening and slowly pried the ring out. It took about 5 mins and did not scratch up anything.

a gentle tap with a hammer broke mine loose. and I do mean gentle. It had a carbon ring that was causing it to be stuck

The brass color insert is carbon locked inside my Saker-K. How can I remove it? I tried prying it out, and it didn't budge. Any suggestions?

I have the original MAAD mount on my Saker and have not had any problems but I read about others having stuck or launched cans. What has your shop seen with the MAAD mount reliability?
@Capitolarmory4 жыл бұрын
There's a few things we have to take into account first... one being the "What's cool now is obviously the best." There's a trend in what's popular people seem to obsess over that influences folks outside of actual fact. The second part is with the internet, I've seen many times where "some guy on the internet heard about something from a forum that someone they knew had a brother with a friend who went to a demo shoot and talked to a guy who's dad had 'x' thing happen." Somehow that turns into "This happened to my best friend." Again--- not unique to the silencer world. Then the last is ALL mounts have problems. I've seen significant problems with all mounting systems. Is the original Saker mount bad--- no, I don't think so. I still use it on a few things and have no intention to swap. It's main downside is it's prone to user error. Every case I've seen of a suppressor being launched was either intentional (also read abuse here) or it was user-error.

@@Capitolarmory Appreciate this feedback. If Silencerco had done instructional videos on the MAAD mount when it came out like you've done here I think there would have been fewer issues. I sent SiCo an email with pictures when I first got my MAAD mount because I wasn't sure I had it correctly mounted. Once I had that checked off it's been GTG.

Same here...original MAAD mount for use on three rifles. Is it worth the upgrade and will it still work with my mounted flash hiders ?

The best mount for a SilencerCo Charlie mount is a Plan B by Q. Its lighter and smaller, and just works.
