Even though it’s not the most positive, this ending has to be the best one. All that work Harry went through, all the trials for the sake of his daughter, all ended in anguish. She couldn’t be saved but more so, it was all experienced post death. From when you woke up to when you fought the final boss, you were dead the entire time-never waking up from the initial crash. I believe Harry died in the accident and Silent Hill took his soul to just toy with. Fucking crushing. This ending was my first and after playing the game for two weeks, I was crushed. Took me a few days to snap out of the empty feeling this game gave me.

This is my 2nd favorite ending in the game, the fact that this whole game was all in Harry's head as he slowly died is honestly an incredible twist. In fact, this ending is hinted at when Harry gets teleported back to the Nightmare Antique Shop after talking to Lisa, he talks about how all of it could be inside his head after he crashed his Jeep and he's in a hospital bed now. And then, it's revealed to you that Harry was actually dead all this time and what we experienced was a slow descent to madness before he died, which is also a brilliant reference to Jacob's Ladder, which had a similar ending and was a major influence on Silent Hill. Good+ is my favorite ending because I like the idea of Harry escaping Silent Hill with Cybil and the beautiful music that accompanies it, but this one is also amazing purely because of how shocking the twist was to me when I first played it.

Your best bet is to get to the final boss with 18 shotgun shells total. Run in circles with the strafing to dodge somewhat consistently, then shoot as close as you can. I got it after many attemps on hard

@sgoc9499 16 is overkill, you can do it in less than 10. Walk under Incubus, wait for it to charge lightning (waiting to shoot it while it's charging lighting does critical damage), then start shooting. Tank a lightning hit, heal with an ampoule (using just one ampoule is all you need), then shoot it again while under it & waiting for the lightning to start charging. Dead in just two rounds in less than 15 seconds. I wish I did this in the vid but this strat wasn't known 4 years ago.

@@RuminInLove It's more of a safety net if you can't get close enough for max damage before needing to dodge again. So far i've only gotten to the bad ending against incubator

I was really along for the ride when I got into this game, it held up surprisingly well and the horror atmosphere was so damn good, I actually cared about the characters too. Too bad all that gets thrown out the window at the very end with the most abrupt, jarring ending ever. I didn’t want a good ending, it’s a horror game after all. I just wanted something conclusive, but instead I get almost comical line delivery of Cheryl and Harry sounding mildly upset and an instant cut to credits that actually made me burst out laughing with how abrupt it was. How can they get you so invested, and then drop the ball this hard at the very end?

Litterly one of the most liked games ever . I remeber when i was 8 my older cousin got the game from a friend and we all used to play resident evil 2 back then . I finished resident evil 2 back then alone so i was really into gaming . Started gaming when i was 4 with gamebly snes played everything all day long as a kid . But sillent hill was diffrent breed of game . To hard to scary . The whole famaly sit infront of the television and shat themselfe while watching my cousin play it . But sadly without youtube and help we never finished . We stuck in the last part of the game ..didnt know what to do . But i remeber how everybody loved that game . Litterly ee played that game so often even after the playstation 2 came out . Every halloween i remember 2003 2004 2005 snd so go on we made a sillent hill 1 session . Sillent hill 2 ofc everybody finished and was a master piece but not like sillent hill 1 it was easier . And yeah played and bought every thing that came out of the name of konami and sillent hill after that . I eould even buy a fart of konami when sillent hill was written on it . But hard to understand that game still today. And i love every lets player or youtuber who finished the game and show love to the series . Sorry for my english im from germany . In germany we have s big sillent hill community . Much smaller then resifent evil but still big .
