@@m0zA2T There's no over theorizing to be done. Ritual requires burning is a lot more straightforward then "nebulous ritual that involves fire and suffering with no physical injury". Heather didn't need it cause she already had the God (it only needed awakening) and the 21 Sacraments are a retcon.

Hey Fungo, love your content since TRSHE! My major problem with Silent Hill 2 is that out of all the cannon Silent Hill games, Silent Hill 2 does not give a good enough explanation - in my opinion- as to how James, Eddy, and Angela can "use" the spiritual power of the town to manifest their trauma. Remember, every other character be it Alessa, Heather, or Walter, either have inherent psychic powers, are deeply connected to the cult and its teachings, or both. However, in Silent Hill 2 all we have is three very disturbed individuals who are "called to" Silent Hill or have some tangential tie to the town "We had our honeymoon here" etc. Had the game been called Heaven's Night and been a very powerful poetic holdover till Silent Hill 3, no one would have been the wiser. Am I wrong?

@@FredHerbert999 SH1 is old but has a massive following. People who grew up with the series would buy a remaster there's no denying that. RE3 was a great game and the reimagining was just awful. No way would I want that treatment for the OG SH
