Got to meet him and the rest of the band at a show one time. Garrett came right up to me and gave me the hugest hug and we talked for a second and then we all took a picture together. One of the sickest things to ever experience. They are such nice dudes

"I don't have any simple platitudes, but I love you, and maybe someone needs to hear this." I needed to hear that, thank you Garrett, I love you too. Thanks to all of Silent Planet and everyone who ever said "I love you." You saved my life. I will always be grateful, and I hope I'll have the courage to help someone the way that you've helped me. Much love, everyone.

Man, this is so deep. I struggle with depression all the time. And now I know I'm not alone. This band is a beautiful gift God gave us. Garret is such a kind soul.

I briefly talked to him at a show in November and he remembered me at a show in June. That was a big deal to me. There is something truly special about Garrett and Silent Planet. I pray that these guys have an impact on the Church. We need it

I know, i become so moved listening to his words and it gives me a lot of hope in humidity as a whole that people like this can sit down and openingly speak of these things, because it isn't always easy. Love you all. :D

I can't even fathom what a ridiculous amount of thought he must put into every one of their songs... It's also amazing how much love he seems to have for everyone. He's a truly inspiring human being. Side note: I think this song is my favorite of theirs.

I love how he explains it from the side of not knowing because so many people think it's the press of a button to snap out of being suicidal and depressed and hearing this song the first time wrecked me apart. Hearing Garrett speak about this issue alone has helped me even in my darkest hour. He's such a genuine person and I can't stress how important it is to teach others to become open minded especially on how we should treat other humans no matter of ideas, race, religion, or illnesses. Once we can learn to care for others no matter the situation, we'd be in such a better place. I love you, Garrett, and to all who are watching. Love yourself, and everyone around. I'm sorry if any of you've suffered from any of the disorders mentioned or not in the album. Keep strong and know you're important to me, Garrett, and everyone around you.

Why do you have to make me cry so much Garret. I've been struggling with depression as far back as I can think. I've had a therapist try to help me remember my childhood, but it was so bad that I can't recall much of anything. It's just not there anymore. You won't ever read this but thank you and we love you Garrett. Keep healing people.

I wish I could like this a million times, this is the kind of video that deserves to go viral Loving and living go hand in hand, and so as Garrett said, I encourage all those who struggle with living to be courageous enough to choose life over death, and all others to be gracious enough to show love everywhere you're planted

Imagine how different this world would be if there more therapists like Garret. I spend thousands and thousands of dollars and most of my life with counselors, therapists, doctors, hospitals, who gave me medications that did nothing and sat me in rooms for the standard 50 minute session. All of it was a waste. The invoked no emotion from me and did not relate to me at all. It wasn't until the moment that I was actually going to take my own life but I looked at my child and realized I had to get help one more time my life changed.

Wish more artists would go in depth about what their songs meant. You can sort of understand a song by reading the lyrics but the real meaning is always hidden in the artists mind. The motive and reasoning for writing the song is what you cant get from reading lyrics

What if you don't want to see the color?
@MediaBoy132 жыл бұрын
Comfort in the grey often feels easier when it's your everyday and becomes normal for you. The thought of change and be scary and it can feel strange when you start to see colour since it is not what you're used to. I believe you have to give the colour a change though because you don't know that you don't want to see it when you haven't experienced it in a long time.
