This song is fantastic, it simply fits perfectly the game and the themes of loneliness, connection and trust that are at its core. Criticize Kojima all you want for his faults as a game designer, but an author so sensitive that conceives a work of art that resonates so strongly with so many people, as we can see by the comments, is fantastic and deserves all the praise he can get. Finished Death Stranding during the early phases of lockdown, where everything was total havoc and everything in society just shut down because of precautions. Everyday to the next during lockdown just felt the same, you wake up to wait to sleep again for the next day. During that, I listened to this quite often when I was stuck in limbo, but there is somehow a sense of calm and beauty while listening to this during those times. This weird feeling has been ingrained in me everytime I listened to this.
