Nice to know 👍. Do you get a lot of blaze rods with this type of build?
@Aaron-hv4hr2 жыл бұрын
@@JohnnyUtah15 yes I did, although I had to change it up a bit because blazes were just flying out of the killing chamber and back into the main area when they got hit by the trident. So I made that one the temporary chamber and I added a second chamber below it with the trident killer. Now the blazes in the temporary chamber push them back in whenever a blaze tries to get away. Hope this helps!
@JohnnyUtah152 жыл бұрын
@@Aaron-hv4hr ok cool. When I get the chance to build it soon, I’ll keep an eye out on the blazes popping out the kill chamber. You just had to deepen the chamber, do you recall how much deeper in case I run into the issue you were having?
@Aaron-hv4hr2 жыл бұрын
@@JohnnyUtah15 it doesn’t need to be too deep, as long as there’s not much space on top for the blazes to get back up. You could build a small 3x3 room with enough space for blazes to fit in but not too much so it can get crowded and they push each other down easily.

Tip for people with a little more redstone on hand: You can connect some redstone lamps inside of the glass walls to your trident killer switch so that when the killer is off, lights are on and blaze don't spawn. Also while building it don't block up the area, just use light sources.

You can build a little railway between the 2 for xp

I think @thomas collins solution (shuttling back and forth on a rail line) is the only way. Spawners only work if the player is within 16 blocks, so nothing would spawn for your lava stream to push it.

so this thing works surprisingly well!! Even on "easy" difficulty the blazes just keep spawning and spawning. The only trouble i had is with the lava flow. The lava flows over the empty space where the button is. The button stops the lava from flowing down luckily, but the blazes get pushed a little farther than they do in the tutorial. I think It's causing some of them to fly upwards instead of being pushed down to the kill chamber. It still works well but isn't as efficient as it probably could be for me. I probably made a mistake with the lava sources or something, but now that the farm is on, i'm not going back in there to check lol. For the needs of repairing my tools and getting some xp when needed, it still does the trick! RIP potato furnace xp. This is a decent backup.

Either keep them open by powering the block, or open them on the block next to where you want them and move them in position with a piston.

I love this farm and have built it several times, but the flow and ability to follow it really falls apart at the trident killer part.
