Hi Silent, any redstone invention for fast travel? Not the usual protal or elytra. Lately I have watch a particular Minecraft civilization video which features a ender pearl stesis chamber detecting a player's no. of totems. I am fascinated if similar red stone contraptions are also possible in vanilla bedrock survival. Since then I have look at some wireless redstone and auto ice bridge maker videos. Unfortunately none of them works. I am now thinking of tnt ender pearl launcher. Something like a launcher in nether hub . I think if the technology is mature enough( like how to send the pearl at specific angle), it could be the best way to travel for bedrock and achievable in vanilla survival. But I am lacking knowledge.

Oh I also discovered a farm that have practical use of your 4x in takes speed + 4x storage speed sorter in your old video. Normally using such sorter would be overkill but I somehow made a farm that absolutely need that. It is a gold farm. An overworld type by breaking and igniting protal in quick succession to spwan loads of zombie pigmans. I got three 23x23 protals hooked up to a trident killer. Crazy thing is ,I originally use the 4x in takes speed + 2x storage speed sorter. But lots of gold nuggets don't get picked up with the machine only running for ~5mins since the filter is full . I upgraded it and all item get picked up and sorted nicely now.

Just wanted to say the guardian monument always indicates north. Just look at the prismarine bricks! They are one of a few directional blocks in game. That block has an arrow on top that ALWAYS points North.

In case some guardians aren't spawning correctly, two things I did that worked was: 1. Don't skip building the corners near the spawn points! Guardians will sometimes glitch out. 2. Use a simulation distance of 4 chunks

Pretty Important! After the 1.21 update it seems the pistons act as transparent blocks to the guardians so they swim through them! The piston responsible for stopping the guardians from spawning has to be surrounded with solid blocks from below and around! Otherwise it works fine as always! 👌

Made the mini farm in a realm, worked but slow… went under the farm and saw guardians outside the place they should be. I saw a comment saying to place blocks around middle pillar and one next to it ( at 8:22 ), placed a 3x3 from stone to the top and it works perfectly!

Just finished making this farm and it's absolutely INSANE... I had to add more chests and hoppers and I'm still running out of space! Just in case this farm isn’t working/ guardians are spawning where they aren’t, try filling in the corners of the spawning areas, or else the guardians will be “thrown” out of the farm

Based on this farm design, around your spawning spot on the (x, z) plane you currently should have something like: o o x o o To avoid guardians spawning outside, you should add blocks so that you have this instead: o o o o x o o o o Hope this is clear!

For those of you that have the guardians still spawning outside and not working, the spawn columns are most likely off. MaddHatter has a youtube video/github link to a resource pack that shows the spawn columns similar to that of an armor stand chunk viewer (the resource pack is called "Bedrock Technical Resource Pack". I used this and realized I placed the farm off by 1 block. Hopefully this will prevent others from making the same mistake I made.

If your still finding Guardians outside of the spawn chambers, try encasing the chambers in a layer of blocks as they might just be glitching out. I've just spent the past 2 hours trying to troubleshoot mine and finally figured out that this was the problem. Hope this helps to anyone that needs it.

6:28 To summarize, the going from north to south/west to east, the number of blocks in-between the spawning blocks (not including the spawning blocks themselves) are always 10, 15, 15, 9 blocks

If your going to make this farm I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND going into a creative world with the same seed to find the spawn blocks yourself, me and my mate made the farm and all the spawn blocks were wrong, even after following the video... Commands to use: 1st command block, repeat, unconditional, always active, 1 tick delay, /kill @e 2nd command block, repeat, unconditional, always active, execute at @e[type=guardian] run setblock ~ ~-1 ~ sealantern These should place blocks under the guardian spawns marking the correct spawn points👍👍

I'd say the biggest thing he does that most creators don't is give you a point of perspective of the farm and keeps his camera oriented that way. For example, in this video, at the start of the tutorial, he said he'll be facing north for most of it and he did. I'm pretty good with perspective so I don't really need this, but for others I recognize how accommodating it is for him to do that. Nice guy and W tutorial

To trouble shoot spawn spots get two command blocks on repeat First one “execute run kill @e” Second one execute at [guardian] setblock ~ ~-1 ~ white_wool” These together will outline everywhere they’re spawning

When I first built the farm, I went for the medium-size. Unfortunately the guardians spawned outside the farm. Here's an idea to fix it, have simulation distance at 4 then start the farm as usual. Then go and kill the guardians outside of the farm. For me, this forced them to spawn inside the kill chambers and the farm worked just fine. I upgraded to the Large farm and they never spawned outside of the kill chamber. Hopefully this helped someone

The quoted XP rates for the Medium Farm may be wrong. I thought the difference between micro and medium looked too small considering it is 4 vs 9 spawning spots. So I did a couple of tests and got times of 2:05 and 2:15 to get to Level 30 (time based from turning on the switch next to the centre spawning spot and climbing to the AFK point, not using a switch at the AFK spot). So in summary, it is an even better XP farm than suggested at medium size!

1/5/2024 Farm Works like a beast! Thank you so much Silent! - A couple of small tips if you make goofy mistakes like me... - Make sure to water log the lower piston for each chamber. Just built the small version on Bedrock 1.21.30. Besides the guardians escaping the cells (which requires extra blocks around the spawning spaces as other comments explain), I had to put the AFK spot higher up, at Y 104. Hope this information is useful to others!

TRIDENTS FALL BUG. If your tridents are disappearing and falling out of the kill chamber then there's nothing you can do about, its bcz some of tridents killers are gonna be around chunk borders and we all know trident killers behave funny around chunk borders. What can you do? 1. Build Silent's V7 gaurdian farm that uses nether portals. 2. This farm is an overkill ( from someone who has built all 25 cells including lowering middle cell). Your xp metre basically skyrockets means you can get to lvl 30 in seconds. So you only need this farm after a long long time which means you should have no problem picking and throwing all the tridents if it's once in a while thing. 3. Since it's an overkill, I'd recommend you build the cells that are within chunk borders and not near edge. That way it's gonna be always available and you can use it to get some levels quickly. So in the end I'd say don't build this until you absolutely need hundereds of levels once in a while. Bcz it would be annoying to pick and throw all tridents.

Just built the micro. On a Realm, at least, Guardians can be pushed out of the corners of their spawn location, so add corners to the walls on each of them to keep them from getting out.

The will spawn on the sides of blocks so you might wanna do more than one block on each spawn point

As of November 30, 2024, I can confirm that this upgradable guardian farm produce a lot of shards/crystal than before. I just fixed some issues about this. -Never ever skip the corner of every spawn spots, guardians will escape -If you're going to build this farm, I suggest that using a full power conduit will help you a lot. Thank me later. -When you want to go to the farm, *USE A PORTAL LINKED TO YOUR BASE* . Going to farm without using a portal will cause the tridents to fall below your farm. You should be aware about this issue about falling trident in unloaded chunks. -Making a storage system with sorter and crafter is a great idea. I have like over 10 stacks of sea lantern and prismarine bricks in my chest within 15 minutes of afking. -And lastly, just like the other commenter said, if you want to save time, you can find the spawning spot easily by following the pattern 10-15-15-9 from north to south and west to east. Hope this help.

Oh man this looks amazing! In my old world (I think 1.16 iirc) I built your Guardian farm design that took a big square with 25 nether portals, and I had to be careful to only do quick like 30-second sessions in the overworld or else my Switch would crash when I tried to go to the nether because there were too many guardians! 🤣 Absolutely amazing farm and I loved it but overkill for single-player on a console. This looks like a great option for my new 1.20 world, I'll definitely build it soon. Thanks for the updated design, and thanks for that old design! It served me well for a very long time.

Just built the fullsize version in a realm today, works extremely well. absolutely ludicrous drop rates and very high xp gain, far better than anything else i've seen (except the kelp furnace method for obvious reasons) it continues to work very well with 6 players as well, no noticeable lag at all. if you notice the farm isn't working when it should, try leaving the chunks for a while and returning and it should begin working again. highly recommend 10/10 goated farm thanks whisper yet again 🙏

2 weeks later, still works perfectly 👍 for the farm to generate XP, the person who threw the tridents in the hole needs to be in the world, whether that be you or your mate. if you're on a realm and the person who threw the tridents is not online but you still want the xp, just pick up the tridents and throw 'em again. me and my mates have done this at least 20 times. i would advise making an enormous storage system too, we've filled up over 64 double chests of loot from it, easily more if we used it more but yeah. i got like 16-20 double chests filled up from one night of afking 👍

Thought I'd personalize the design with half of the pistons facing South instead of North (as the video clearly demonstrates.) Turns out the Tridents don't like to fall out of the North-facing pistons at least in my world. Rather new to Minecraft so I'm not sure if this information is already known or whatnot (computer is too slow to sanely test reloading glitches.) If the farm doesnt work at all, dont forget that mob cap is a thing in bedrock as well! Forgetting to throw even 1 trident will escalate to having lot of guardians at 1 place, then the others wont be able to spawn.

I say this in hopes that you fix this in the future their are multiple builds you say “place this block here” but not specify the directions your facing, of course the build works fine and it’s great work that you put up buts it’s difficult to follow the vids sometimes just because it’s better to do what you do with 100% accuracy instead of placing a block in hopes that it’s the same direction you put it in.

I love it! You can even make it Redstone-less by using 2 magma blocks per spawn spot then upgrade it later. Also I recommend to enchant your tridents with Channelling, because it's amazing to watch on a thunderstorm!

Just spent ages building a five-cell version of this, it worked incredibly for one day, then I logged in today and no guardians were spawning at all, not in the cells or elsewhere. I ran round checking everything, freaking out that they'd changed the spawning spots, then finally found a cave system underneath the monument that the guardians were spawning in. I ended up digging down and filling in the spawning columns to y=20, and it started working again. Deep relief! You get about a level per minute of AFK time, I'm not quite sure who needs any more than this! Thanks Silent. (By the way you can make this without ice but you need more soul sand to bridge the water stream gaps and (worse) you need end rods to keep the guardians from escaping their cells. I tried repeaters and they all came flying up the bubble elevator at me 😅

Sort of, I found for the pillars if you build a 3x3 instead of just a single pillar the rates are way better and works about 95% of the time. Make sure you turn off the farm as if you leave the tridents fall through the floor

For simulation distance 8, you will want to go to y=127 for the afk spot . Water funnel will need to go to y=129. Probably the same for sim distance 10/12 and maybe 6 as well. It’s 64 blocks above instead of 24. I confirmed this placement also spawns guardians at the center spawn point as well

@@Mikeee00 check zero: on bedrock edition? first check: are there any blocks missing from the pillars (they must go down pretty far, through the structure as well). Second check: are they spawning, or did they just not despawn (leave they area and come back to see if more spawn). Third check: did you rotate north first, before counting spawn spots. Fourth check: plug in the corners next to the spawn spots so guardians can't escape their chambers by spawning in the northwest corner of the spawn spot. Fifth check: did you get all of the corners and distances correct? Make sure the number is the distance between the blocks, excluding both spawn spots. Good luck

Awesome guide, tysm! I built the medium version on my bedrock realm, with plans to eventually upgrade to large. Items and XP did tend to get stuck in certain parts, so I had to fiddle with the water streams to get it all flowing up the bubble column, and the redstone wire up to the AFK platform needed some adjustments to work on bedrock, but everything seems to be operational now! :D

Built this on the realm I play on and it is amazing. My goal was to build the micro farm, but I got carried away and ended up building a bit extra on. The rates are more than we could have dreamed of. About 4 mins gives 50+ lvls. It is truly insane. With the nerf on infinite furnaces, we needed a new way to quickly get xp and this took care of it. The infinite source of prismarine items is wonderful as well. Thank you once again Silent!

@@catalin-rares3179 No, my biggest struggle was after columning up 3/4 of the farm, the spawns were insane. I had to have a second player come and distract the mobs while I kept blocking off the spawn points. I died so many times. The only thing that I could guess is that maybe you don't have a column going all the way to the ground. I had help on 2 columns and they didn't go through the monument to the ground and the guardians were spawning inside the monument. Took me quite a while to figure that part out. Then I died some more clearing them out.

FOR THOSE WHO IT MAY CONCERN: This farm is easily 10/10, I built the micro version on a realm and the xp AND drop rates are actually INSANE. I got to level 30 in under 3 minutes and to level 60 in around 15. If you struggling to find a good xp farm THIS IS THE ONE. Guardians produce more xp than piglins (Guardians-10 Zombie piglin- 5) So invest in this farm ASAP

Still works as of 12/16/23. I built the full version on my realm with all my friends, and the biggest hinderance is that it’s so fast the game can’t keep up. Even with the lag the farm is insane, and I was able to go from level 55 to 99 in about 15 minutes with unenchanted tridents and missing a few optimizations.

For anyone having issue with this farm rates not being as good as it once was and Guardians getting out. I move the trap door one block over, added a second trident killer next to the first one and added a water source next to the piston that keeps guardians from spawning to move drops into the water stream. This seemed to have fixed the issues I see in recent comments.

After a long long long series of trial and error, THIS is what you should do to make your farm works Make sure the corners are filled in, every piston should be closed off from the water. The bottom piston should be water logged and the top piston should not be. Water log a piston by tapping it with a water bucket. Dry the top piston with a water bucket or a sponge. For the love of god, MAKE SURE YOU MARK EVERY SPAWN POINT CORRECT. I built mine off by one block the first time and couldn’t figure out what was wrong until I double checked that, after i fixed that it was fine. Surround the center spawn pillar with a 3 by 3 pillar and do the same for the one directly north of it. Make sure all your water is flowing correctly. The cells do not have to be built just like the video, I practically built mine entirely my own way, as long as it’s all connected by redstone and water pathways it will work. Definitely build a drowned farm to farm tridents faster. You’re gonna want a couple stacks more solid blocks than the video states. Take the time to build the whole farm, it’s worth it. For me, when I travel to and from the farm on land I have no issue with the tridents glitching through the killing chambers just fyi.
