I was ready to Olympic-style hammer throw my brand new Cameo 4 down the street!...I will add, for anyone scouring the internet like myself, that the "advanced settings" can be found under the "page setup" in Silhouette Studio Designer Edition...the same place used to add the registration marks. It took multiple attempts at changing the settings and test printing, but...SUCCESS! Thanks again!!! (I'm using the Canon MG3620 printer)

Oh my god… I think I love you 😂 I have had my Silhouette Cameo 3 for a very long time and each year I brought it out to try again I was so ready to throw it out the window…. But this little trick you gave was amazing it worked. I couldn’t believe how much my square and corner box were out of whack. I eventually found the place I needed to change it from that to be honest was the hardest part. I did it in the silhouette software in the end and it’s now definitely a game changer as I no longer have to cut my labels by hand anymore… yay, THANKYOU so very much x

I know I may be a little late commenting but I'm so excited I've been jumping around my house so happy that I've finally fixed this problem with the help of this video. I've been struggling with this issue since I got my silhouette a year ago, and was ready to throw away it away thinking that it was the machine's fault. But, it was my printer's. I have a Canon MF733cdw. And I do not have the adjust margins settings on computer as show in this video. However, I did some research and turns out these settings on on the touch screen on my printer. For my fellow canon users, go to menu-adjustment/maintenance-adjust image quality-adjust print postion> and from there you can change the margins like shown in the video. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and help me figure this out. I'm so happy. :) thank you!

Thank you very much, after the stupid suggestion of "if the automatic position sensor gives an error, make manual adjustment", which was explained as a solution in about 1 million other videos I watched, I thank you very much for saying that the problem was the paper margin settings on the printer. I use my cameo 3 and cameo 4 in a copy center and change the margin settings for different jobs so that my printer can center the print on duplex prints. Regarding this problem, Silhouette Turkey's authorized technical service suggested to me that I should place fewer objects on paper, but of course this did not solve the problem. Even the authorized technical service could not explain to me why my cameo 3 and cameo 4 cutting machines, which used to cut the same number of objects, now give a position sensor error and cannot cut. The problem was solved by reducing the printer margin to just 1mm on the printer screen. Hey Silhouette Türkiye technical service, hear this and don't make fools of us.

Oh my!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!! I bought a load of print and cut commercial license items when they came out, then spent about 6 months in outrageous frustration and put the whole thing to rest. Thanks SO much! This seems to have resolved my issue. (I'm really new at this, so we'll see.) So glad I thought to look for some troubleshooting advice before calibrating. For anyone with a Brother printer (my model is mfc-j5620dw), the setting is simply Preferences > Advanced > Other Print Options > Uneven Line Alignment. Then select the paper size you're having issue with. I made myself crazy trying to find the offset settings, but they aren't available as a manual option in my printer.

Everytime i traced out my design n ready to cut it out on my vinyl ill have the blade on the top left or middle of the vinyl then as soon as it starts i goes all the way down to the vinyl n the complete opposite of where i want it to go help please

I'm happy I watched this and printed a registration mark to line up with the cutting board. . I could not change the alignment on my printer settings. But you can easily change the margins for the placement of the cameo registration marks in the Cameo software, under advanced.

Thanks, that trick worked on my et-2720. But I entered +2 instead. It was a little adjustment but it did the trick. It has been very accurate now since I did the adjustment. I lived with it and accepted minor misalignment for a long time (I have Cameo 1, with Graphtec blade, that is how long) that is why I usually give a big offset on my stickers to compensate. Now it is fixed, so Thank you.

Hi. I folded over with the long sides lining up and they're fine. But if I do the same for the bottom its slightly off. Are those supposed to match up as well?? Unfortunately I'm seeing this a couple years after you made it and the software had changed so I'm not seeing those printer options

Do you mean the top and bottom don't line up? If you're attempting a double-sided print and cut and the left and right sides match up, then when you try to print the second/back side make sure to feed the same end of your paper into the printer as you did with the front design. The settings for the margin aren't part of the software for Silhouette but have more to do with a full and proper installation of your printer I believe.

Not sure what a double sided print-and-cut is. What I mean is tho, I folded long ways as you said in the video (lets call it hotdog) and the reg marks matched up perfectly. But I folded it short ways as well (lets call it hamburger) and they were off. I was just wondering if the bottom and top reg marks being off matters as well?? I turned off my borderless printing option. That seems to have fixed the problem a bit. But it's still slightly off.It could just be me and my perfectionist brain. But I completely fill my shape (its a circle) with a solid colored pattern (it's for phone grips). I was just hoping that when it cuts there wouldn't be a small white space to one side

@@DesignsByAngee You can adjust the height of the marks, if you aren't printing on both sides then the registration marks lining up doesn't matter I don't think. If you're getting white space, make your design a little bigger if it doesn't have to be precise, so that it bleeds outside of your cut area a bit. It's common to need this extra area for print and cut.

Does this help with the cutter not taking in the cutting Mat all the way? My cuts keep happening on the map and not the vinyl! Very frustrating 😩

Taylor Rednose - Alӧr I don’t think it would help with that, for that make sure you’re pressing “load mat” and not “load media” and if it continues look in the cut screen for four arrows to advance your mat a bit before cutting. I’m not sure exactly where they are in the latest version of the software but if you don’t see them let me know and I’ll look for them and give more precise info 💕 they may also be on the touch display of the silhouette machine once you load up your mat.

I'm not sure what you mean, but the registration square is a print vs a cut and generally there are marks in all four corners for registration.

So just a heads up... I went and bought the Epson Work Force ET-8700 to possibly get into doing planner stickers and planner sales via Etsy. Please note I have a cricut but I down loaded the Silhouette software because the Cricut software is miserably insufficient. My cuts do not line up whether I use print and cut or try to line up a sheet on my own. Turns out this $999 printer...... is incapable of borderless printing. It took me MONTHS to figure out that setting my margins at 0 wasn't taking because they CAN'T take... and I've blown through a cartirdge of each color ink (which is supposed to be like a 4 month supply) and I don't even know how many hundreds of sticker paper. I am definitely stubborn in that I keep trying but now I have a feeling it's all because there is a .12 minimum border! Hope this helps someone else NOT take so much time and so many expensive materials to figure it out!

This may help someone like me, I tried something weird than it worked! I just folded my paper and saw some misalignment with my printer (Canon G2060), I just do one thing then the alignment shows correctly, Just goto Preference -> Page Setup -> Just uncheck this box "Automatically reduce large document that the printer cannot output", This magically worked for me :) Hope it will save someone's life too...

You need to set up your page size as US Letter (Borderless) instead of US Letter. Also, your printer must be capable of doing borderless printing. If your printer doesn't do borderless printing, adjust the margins to be at least .5 inches on each side.

I have a different printer and a Macbook but with a bit of persistence I found the margin settings for my HP4500 printer. Everyone's printer is different so it might be different on how you change this setting even. I had to change mine to .35 on the left margin to get it to line up. I was GOING CRAZY...my silhouette cut stickers just fine for years and all the sudden it started doing this so I have no idea. We will see if this works! thank you so much!

I'm so sorry : ( I wish it had helped. My printer settings change when my driver gets updated and things like that. So every time I get it JUST RIGHT! I still have to test each and every project before sending 60 pages through the printer because it might have recalibrated something again : ( And the worst part is that the settings aren't always the same. I can't just make a note of them and check before each printing session.

I just deleted and re-downloaded silhouette and walked away from it. My registration marks were definitely off but I wonder if I need to calibrate it again now that I did that with the printer?

pariplatinum I noticed if I keep images far apart, it works ok for me. For instance 10-12 images don’t cut properly unless they are far apart. It still cuts a bit off but not too bad that I can’t use it.

Unfortuantly this seems to be unhelpful for Mac users. Everything is in a different place. I'm so stressed trying to figure this out and on top of that I barely know how a Mac works in the first place! I never should have switched from PC. Thanks for making this great video! When I print n cut for 5pcs, there alway 3 of them r out of cutting line. Its OK when u do for small amount of stickers but sometime we get a big amount of order then the problem will become serious. 3hours job become 6 hours. Wasting time n stickers. My problem was on the right side of the paper sticker. As it cut through to the bottom, cutting was not align with the printed image
