3 years later and I still learned soo much from this vidoe. Thank you! I’m a pcos girl too and my makeup was slidinggggg lol! I’m just now learning that I was not using the proper primers & foundations. I was using mostly water based products and I was sliding within 2 hours. This was so informative I’m ordering the right products right now! Thanks again!

I never comment on videos, and I have watched so many good videos. BUT GIRL!! what a wonderful, informative video. I have been trying to understand foundations so I can make them last more. You just cleared sooooo much on my head now. It’s something so crucial that people don’t talk about and don’t have any much knowledge on it. So big thanks to you ❤️

So glad you enjoyed it! Ultimately you yourself only know your skin. This is just a tip to help anyone that has issues like I use to of foundation slipping around like baby oil by the end of the day. 😘

Great video! I saw that Reddit spreadsheet too and thought the same as you - “This is great!” Then started reading it 😂 Where was the forum with the chemists breaking it down? I would be interested in seeing it if it’s still up! Did you do the other videos in this series? I looked through your videos and didn’t see them but I could have missed them! I’m wondering your thoughts on water-based, silicone-infused? Have you heard of that? Like there were a few foundations that people seemed split on - half say silicone based, half say water based. Then, some comment I saw on Reddit said they were actually water-based but silicone-infused. She gave an explanation that made a lot of sense. Like NARS Sheer Glow. The second ingredient is a silicone, but it’s water-based, which even NARS says it is. It even has more silicones later in the ingredient list (6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, and 11th). So, that confused the heck out of me! 😂 2 other ones people seem to be split on is Too Faced Born This Way foundation and MAC Studio Fix Fluid. Too Faced one has water then silicone but then there aren’t any more silicones until the 7th ingredient. So, if it’s a real thing, I’d say this is a water-based, silicone-enhanced foundation. MAC Studio Fix Fluid has water as 1st and silicones as 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th. There are also silicones further down the ingredient list (5 of them). Having 3 of the silicones in the first 5 ingredients, I’d say this is silicone-based. But, it has fluid in the name making me think it’s more water based? Anyways, I can see why people are confused by those 😂 Sorry this is so long! Would love to hear your thoughts! ❤️ EDIT- I found your water based video 😊

What about if I use the cerave as a moisturizer then silicone primer and foundation?

My face hate silicone, and it lets my dry skin show dryness. I like authentic Korean primers. I found they have top notch skin care.

Hi!!! Loved your video. Thank you for sharing. Although I must ask if you know if silicone based foundation oxidizes? And do you recomend IL Makiage foundation?
@jbtalks90364 жыл бұрын
In my experience and research there is not 1 specific reason why a foundation oxidizes. It's more of a combination of how those ingredients react to your personal skin type and oils and also the climate your in and how much titanium or zinc oxide is in it. I have not tried it but I tend to stay away for MLM type products.

Does silicon based smooth aging skin?
@jbtalks90364 жыл бұрын
I believe it can help fill in those lines and some fine wrinkles to give the makeup more of a smooth texture that will then hide those lines of aging skin. If lines and wrinkles are a concern I would lean toward silicone based vs the water based.
