I quit trying 'cheap' methods and just using liquid silicone *rubber* from Smoothon. Making the mold is only 1/4 of the job, I can't waste time trying too many methods. I really like this way. Much easier. Molds wear out after 10 uses or so depending on the detail and shape.

you didn't add corn starch or powder. that is the recipe that works.

The ge silicone II the red and gold label works better and I find squirting in my hand underwater, then make a patty, then slap it on top of the item. Keep your hands wet, I find it will always stick if my hands don’t have soap on them. The cornstarch and paint make a brittle mold.

You can also make molds of polymer clay, or....liquid gel, like Fimo or Sculpey ("TLS"), those are flexible too. Your original has to be baked in the mold, but that is not a problem with resin of course. I hope this helps..!

I think I love your "fail" videos as much as your successes. You make me smile except for the part where you are not good.

I do have a way to mold but you have to use liquid polymer clay. there is a girl from Beads friends and she has a video of how to use the liquid polymer clay to make cabochon molds

I've noticed most of the fail videos are ising the GE 100% silicone and they fail. That's also what I used and 4 days later it's still a goey mess. Soooo... no GE silicone I think. I noticed the ones that work ised an Ace Brand. Im trying that next lol.
