Really good review, of a really good episode. I was totally fooled about the dinner between Bernard and Meadows. I did not expect him to kill her. I though he was going talk her out of wanting to go outside. But, no: Bernard is a by-the-book guy, and Meadows had said she wanted to go out, so he had to kill her. And, being the brilliant politician that he is, Bernard figured out a way to use Meadows death to his advantage. Dude is the Master! Turning to Juliette & Solo. I can very easily see Solo becoming a HUGE obstacle to Juliette, because of his 10 year old mentality. First off, he's clearly lying about being Russell's Shadow--he was a boy when he was left alone in the Vault. Second, there's the "fresh" dead bodies outside the Vault, that Solo must have been responsible for killing. And, lastly, what happened to his eye? Based on his comment about his blue eyes as a child, something happened to him just before he went into the Vault. Did Solo go outside with the others during the Silo 17 rebellion? Remember, he said everything was OK outside, until the wind picked-up. Did Solo cover or close one eye to keep the dust out, as he ran back inside the silo? Bottom line: at some point, Juliette and Solo are going to fight, because she's discovering things about him that he's trying to hide. Also, Solo's emotional development is that of a teen or pre-teen: and that's when sexuality kicks in. Will that be an issue? This show has very little reproductive sex--but, there is sex. That could be an extra dynamic to the Juliette/Solo relationship. Going forward, Juliette has got to get back to Silo 18 fast. Bernard is doing a "good" job of preventing the rebellion, and people going outside. But, he's also framing Knox and Shirley for murder. If Juliette returns, maybe she will trade her knowledge of the other silos (and the book, "the Order") in exchange for Bernard sparing Knox and Shirley.

It felt strange that judge meadows didn't realise the dinner was a trap. If I could realise it, I feel the character should be able to. Especially because she's known him a long time and knows he would follow the order

Exactly, especially for such an intelligent character. Perhaps it's the old adage that "love is blind."

It was a waste of the most fascinating character in the Silo. The writers really failed us here.

hasnt she only been sober for a day or two at this point? shes probably was still in a fog.
@Stress-Free-KАй бұрын
@@torinakins Even in a deep 2-day sober fog Meadows was running circles around Benard and Sims. The actress was pitch perfect. This is an unforgivable loss for the show. If they let her live I'm sure her initial compulsion to want to go out would fade and she'd return justice to their silo. Mayve even begin expeditionary missions to other silos. Which is the next logical step. Mechanical had the right idea.

Well we will never know but she did want to go out so maybe she knew it was coming just not with mushrooms

I still don't understand why and how the people who work in mechanical are at the bottom of social hierarchy , it's crazy, in a postapocalyptic society like Silo their skills are indispensable.

Excellent job! I love your enthusiasm. I think Solo is the boy we see in the beginning of episode one. And, he acts like a person who is developmentally younger than his actual age. I think he told Juliette that the people went out 100 years ago, which isn’t true. Perhaps Meadows witnessed the poisonous dust that was released into the air, killing all of those people. She was disgusted at being in the vault with Bernard even for that short time. Maybe she was in there and was able to view the outside world from the screen in there.

We'll never get to know ... cuz they killed her. Dead. The most fascinating and powerful person on the show. Dead.

Episodes been getting better and better each I was nervous the first two episodes,and 3 and 4 was 🔥🔥. Benard and Simms were Wilding Out this episode😂. I don't think anyone watching this show believed for one second that Bernard was really going to let Meadows leave😂
@nysockexchange22042 ай бұрын
True everybody suspected that Meadows was going to be murdered so why didn't the character know? She even admits in the episode that Bernard ALWAYS puts the SILO first.
@Stress-Free-KАй бұрын
@@nysockexchange2204 Because the writers couldn't imagine a world where Meadows could survive. Too much of threat to their own sense of how things works.

What's up with dumb plan to blame mechanical? They literally have the power to turn the lights off. The writers have lost the plot. Meadows wanted to go out and die. Why? Bernard in the first season went from being benign to duplicitous, to malicious, to terrified and trying his best to save the silo from something that only he knows about. Now he is just a malicious murderous weirdo. Pfft. And Juliet what's with the fake challenges? A bridge that is about to collapse and it is so dramatic, now she just tries back and forward across it. This week a rope that traps her under water - oh no will she survive!?! Yes yes she did. Sigh. What's up with the guys from mechanical why are they talking to meadows who they know had no power. It's such frustratingly bad writing.

The tv show is different than the books. I predict that they’ve only been in the Silo for 50-75 years. And they are involved in an experiment but the world outside of the Silos is perfectly fine. Also, there are others watching them within Silo 17 who provide food and water for Solo.

Interesting. I really think the world is as bad as it is because some sort of nuclear war happened. Some country had sent a mini nuke onto their country possibly the USA, and they had took it as a warning sign so they picked a large plot of land to build these solos and get people to live there in case of war. Which somehow did happen,. My issue with the show is it feel little too forced. Why are they not just telling people the truth? Outside is as bad as it looks it's inhabitable and that why they are down there and even show them. YES I know the reason is because benard is little rule follower and wants to follow the pact to a tea but that will lead to chaos. I liked judge mellows better, she says let's follow the pact but we don't have to follow every single rule. Idk im still watching the show bc it's so intriguing but the plot of the solo is getting boring. the mayor isn't hiding anything bad and is just trying to keep the silo safe. Idk maybe it's just me

What's with the issue about Solo being in the 11 year old classroom when the rebellion happened? I don't get it. Is the issue that he was too young to be a shadow assuming he was also 11? Do we know how long ago was the rebellion? Do we know how old he was then?

I was getting annoyed with Solo at first then I had to remind myself dude aint had anyone to talk to all this time.

Just when it seemed Meadows had put her 💩 in a pile and knew full well Bernard was out to get her, she falls for his trap? I really didn't care about her death since her whole hyped up arc turned out to be a total waste of both screen time, red herring and plot line. Jules is just doing more Jules stuff, not really learning, whilst Solo seems to be the kid that was shown to have died outside after all?? Edit: The episode was really good even if I was seemingly harsh. Meadows drops a name that I am sure will become very important.

Juliettes swimming scene is some of the worst writing I've ever seen in a TV show. All the drama is completely manufactured. She could have just dipped down and paddled up to the firesuit room. Instead BIG DRAMA, almost drowned, can't swim! Then she just randomly swims back...WEARING the suit. It was so incredibly dumb. All the time on screen wasted looking for tubes, pumps, blah, blah.
