The purpose of the letter broke Meadows heart and gave her no hope...which led her to give up being the IT Shadow because she understood there wasn't a point. I think she also knew Bernard needed to feel special and was true believer of the Pact. If Meadows told him the truth of the letter, he would not be able to accept it. Whatever is in the tunnel, validates what is in the letter. Meadows was gone for four days when she was the IT Shadow...whatever she saw down there validated what she read in the letter. I think the tunnel led to the failsafe that is in each Silo. I also think having to use the Wizard of Oz Book to break the code to read the letter is a major hint. The Oz used tricks to control people and wasn't special at all. I think that the Silo and the Pact is similar to Oz.

Yes good, but they are purposely being slow and that will kill a good amount of viewers, the first season was fast paced and in 6 episodes it feels like 1 episode of season 1.

They also just planned just half of the seasons, you would need to make a show about the books... there are so much things in the show, which are way more complex in the books, like hoe to get to the drills and even knowing about them. That's crazy fast.

LAST episode of the season - Juliet is still in the mostly destroyed Silo, back and forth between acrimonious sides in the original silo.

I like your idea about Walker connecting with Juliette. It helps with my prediction that Juliette will work with the Rebels in the Down Deep--without Bernard knowing. I also think that the scientific experiment angle could work--I haven't read any of the books, but "Silo" strongly resembles another show, called "Ascension" about a multi-generational space travel that was a scientific experiment. A lot of the same "class warfare" and secrets. My biggest problem is that with only 3 episodes left this season, I'm now very doubtful that all of the loose ends will be resolve. In fact, I'm now thinking that Juliette will NOT return to Silo 18 before the end of this season. We'll see.

what if whoever attacked "Solo" was trying to save Jules from being killed by Solo? Yeah I know but what if he had intended to kill Jules and cut the rope once the power came on and the other person tried to stop him by shooting him with an arrow, Solo threw the axe at them before lumbering off to hide in the vault? I doubt it; but it is a possibility. what is most likely is Jules finds Solo, nurses him back to health a bit. Finally gets the truth out of him. he in turn shows her the radio. She gets on the radio and Walker or Lukas overhears her. This is when we get the whole Juliette Lives alert in 18. Wonder how Bernard will react to that news? how will this affect the Bernard/Sims and even the Bernard/Lukas dynamic? We know Billings will probably ally with Knox, Walker and the deepers. I think Bernard is gonna be on an island. Not much support after that.

In Episode 1 Jules found a running farm, with running water and light. Solo wasn't outside and he never needed such survival skills. So someone is pretty much against Solo, since they stole his energy and want his food AND they are also against Juliette, since she misused their pump and killed off their running farm. Got it?

I figured it was just basic fear of the unknown causing them to be fearful and hostile towards anyone. Knowing they wanted in the vault anyone else was seen as competition and potential threat and the opportunity to get to Solo outside the vault too precious to them.

Great review. And even though 8 levels down and 320 feet for someone new to diving is implausible, the dive itself was edge of your seat spectacular and Rebecca wanted to, and did, her own stunts. Mission Impossible and Tom Cruise was a great learning and development time for Ferguson to do things she would have never tried before being cast by the MI Team.

the tunnel is connected to the flooded silo, when the flooded silo perished, a message was sent to juls silo to never open that tunnel again as it will flood the bottom floors of the silo, now that the water is so above after many years it would be even more catastrophic

This is a far better show with far better story than fallout. Better characters better casts better mysteries. Fallout was okay but kind of all over the place and no real sensible motivations like the ghoul's whole motivation was to find out what happened to his wife and kid and that's why he's killing everybody he runs into hundreds of years later. That's kind of a thin motivation. They're gone it's been hundreds of years is what you would normally think no?

The motivation to build those silos is abolutly nonsense and they, the charakters, did even recognice that in the books, like every single person but one, so.... i don't know. And you would think, that those who buiolt the silos are dead... you're wrong... they do bullshit for like 300 years, they posion themselfes for anmesia and do more and more bullshit, right into suicide. Everything what happens in Silo 17 and 18 has nothing to do with the great conclusion, the "win", or anything else. They were just there and had their own problems and escaped, while in silo 1 everything was blown by one single person, which will maybe not even make it in the show since 4 planned seasons are not even half what you need, to cover storylines from the books. Usually they would have to IGNORE silo 17 and 18 for at least 2 seasons, just to get the conclusion, this story has. Its like almost one whole book of three were Juliette isnt even happening. They cant do that in a tv show.

Why does anyone have knowledge about bow and arrow inside the silo? And gunpowder? What good is there? A bit sidetracking but, the drawing so far only shows a single tunnel going out of 18. If this connects only to 17, why? Why not more? I thought perhaps this was like hunger games and each silo is a social class of some sort with silo 1 being the top dog, but if a silo only has one access tunnel, that might not be the case…

I did not suggest that viewers would completely cease watching; rather, a significant number may choose to disengage. This situation resonates with my thoughts on "The Walking Dead." The initial two seasons were exceptional, but subsequently, it felt as though the series began to exploit the formula, resulting in a decline in viewer engagement. It is unrealistic to expect audiences to remain invested when episodes are overly stretched, particularly when they anticipate new releases every Friday.

Yes, I will continue to watch the series because I genuinely enjoy it, but two truths can coexist: the show is clearly capitalizing on its episodes for monetary gain, while I still appreciate the original storyline and wish to see its conclusion.

Juliette will find the children that live in Silo 17. Eventually, she will return to her Silo. Bernard will die before her return. Juliette will be the new mayor and Lucas, the new IT Head.( Sims is fictional character. I dont know anything about him)

I just want to know what the tunnel and door leads to at the bottom of the silo. Are they all connected? Do they lead to an unknown structure?

They are connected, but by cables and pipes, not by a tunnel. A passage would make a "silo" useless, even the silos you know from real life, since sickness can spread then within all the corn then. If one is infected somehow you loose all food then, so why sould this "silos" be different? Maybe its just the hidden passage to the drills, we already know about, but Lucas doesnt. I would guess that he finds something there what belongs to Juliette, since she was there and keeps it for memory. Obviously be a mistake, but a good story needs mistakes.

You brought up two points that have been been an irritant for me as well. The first one being how mellow Sims was with Camille about manipulating things behind his back, and Bernard not getting a shower and clean clothes for Lukas. Has he even fed the guy yet? If it was a way of sending Lukas a message that he could be one day from going back to the mines, it was a bad decision. If you want a person working at their best you get basic needs met.

Something tells me the way silo season 2 ends is Juliette radioing to Walk. Camera zooms in slowly as it sits on her work desk. Static “hello walk?” At first, then it connects good signal. However, walk won’t be able to answer because she will either be dead or in the hands of Bernard with Carla. Screen goes black. Then we have to wait 1ish years until the next season 😂

Seeing as how only 1 of the 50 silos will be chose to repopulate the Earth, and that's based on which silo is the most well behaved (and Silo 1 has destroyed other silos over uprisings), Bernard has a lot on his shoulders and is doing everything he can, to make sure 18 is the chosen silo.

@@Hobodeluxe007 Maybe he knows in the TV show, to pace it better. In the books, he isn't aware. Just 4 people in silo 1 did know at that at a time and none of those survived the books. I think its the same like with the drills. Everyone knows about the drills, shown in season 1 several times. In the books noone but IT guys did know about them.
