SILVER BIRCH holds off McKelvey to win the 2007 Grand National for Gordon Elliott

A rookie trainer by the name of Gordon Elliott made a considerable impression when less than a year into his new career as a trainer, he took this race along with jockey Robbie Power. At this stage, Elliott - who has gone on to achieve numerous top-level successes - had not managed to train a single winner in Ireland!
A 33-1 chance, he scored by three-quarters of a length from McKelvey, trained in Wales by Peter Bowen. Slim Pickings, who led for much of the last circuit, was only a further length and a half away in third, ahead of 100-1 outsider Philson Run in fourth.

I just wish Aintree & BHA find money to make more tickets so the people come to Aintree racecourse from the center of the race course to the beaches aera to the canal turn area and right up the fence 12 area

A fantastic effort considering the ground was thought to be too fast for him, thus the big odds. That, plus previous injuries he had, he doesn't get the credit he's always been due. As of writing, he's still around too at the ripe old age of 27.

The difference in the amount of people, when the normal joe so hadnt a clue of the coruption in th3 horse and betting industry. Now, the ass has fallen out of both industries and everyone is aware the entire industries are corupt to the core.
