I really like the fact that you mentioned different manufactures 10k or 14k can have a different gold color from other manufactures 10k or 14k ect.. I have known that for a while but alot of people don't, some companies 10k may look like another companies 14k sometimes

10k is sick I buy 10k all day every day. If you can get it for scrap per gram why not. I sleep and shower in 10k no issue 20" and 25". 10k is underrated for sure.

Great vid brother. I always sleep with my chains on and never have any issues. But ya I agree if someone’s chain is delicate I wouldn’t risk sleeping/swimming with it and having the clasp break.

If you’re wearing pendants with your chains then you might want to take them off when sleeping, and I’ve been showering with my jewelry on for years and never had any issues with my gold, but I do prefer to wash my gold with the dawn dish soap

You americans have it alright 😂 in england pretty much all gold jewellery is 9k (unless you go custom made) it’s quite funny when you see an iced out vvs2 cuban link set in 9k gold😭 on the plus side it is durable and I have never had any tarnishing on any of my jewellery either. nowadays jewellers seem to be doing something with new gold to make it look richer, I ain’t complaining tho looks beautiful

@@FromADistanceJewelry yeah man absolutely, it’s especially useful on rings. it’s really stumped me on why we only use 9 carat here, my only guess is maybe english folk don’t care for jewellery as much and don’t wanna spend a lot? the general ideal is bigger = better lol😂 I think in general our jewellery is definitely behind with the times, for example we’ve only just recently got diamond cut ropes and cubans look very old school but maybe things will change in the future. i’d say the most popular link chains are flat curbs, belchers and chaps chains all very big and flashy haha

You do not have to buy 9k. If you order online you can find any karat of gold you like. Do not settle for 9k. Atleast find yourself a 14k. Ive owned nothing but 14k gold all my life. But i had to sell all my gold jewelry. An that was 3 years ago. After i sold it gold sprouted to 1900 a ounce. When i sold it ..... It was at 12 something. I was so upset. An i had ALOT of gold. Very heavy pieces. But i wear a very special unique silver an gold pendant today with a very nice chain. The only thing is the chain is 30 inches. Im botheres by the length kinda. But i am getting use to it. If i get it shortened i will loose weight on the chain. So i am going to just leave it. I do own one more silver chain. A 200 gram miami cuban . i wore it every single day never took it off for the past 3 years. Slept , showered, whatever. But havent worn it since my new chain. I tried to wear both at pieces at once.. But.. Because of the 30 inch chain i wasnt feeling too good about it .

For the life of me I can’t find any 14k or 18k pieces that are of decent quality and size, length style, etc. even then Im an absolute sucker for jacoje, been a massive fan for years 😂 I know how you feel about losing money on investments I don’t even wanna say how much I lost last year on all the poor choices I made, it’s just sad LOL 🤣🤣🤣 That silver cuban sounds awesome! I have something a little similar that I wear sometimes it’s an 8.5mm handmade cuban link from harlembling just a little over 100g. super cool chain for the price, I got it before lockdown when it was cheaper so that’s a plus. I've only had good experience like I mentioned in the video with jewelry and water so I would recommend if you didn't want to take it off I think you'd be cool to do that. I would just make sure that whatever soap you use it's not a soap that will Gunk up.

Very informative, thank you! I would like to know if you have ever had an issue with the aluminum spring that is in the clasp. I know that gold is not prone to tarnishing, but in the shower maybe the clasp spring could damage. Have you ever had an issue regarding that? If you did, is it an easy fix at the jeweler? Thanks:)

That's a pretty loaded question so if you like I can do a specific video on it for you. To try to put it simply though if you don't want me to do a video I would just recommend: -Creating the idea and then think/meditate about it for a very long time, at minimum 6 months. -find an artist who you absolutely love. -make sure that whatever you get is not based on emotion and that is something that you will love forever. People change throughout their lives but tattoos don't! -Make sure that you don't skimp on talent to save on cost. Again, if you want me to do a more in-depth video I can definitely do that for you but if not the above information is what I would be able to give! -

What are you thoughts on chains that unclasp during sleep? Has happened to me twice now. No issues when I’m up moving and working manual labor. Aggressive sleeper? Gettin snagged on the sheets? Faulty clasp? Thank you

What type of clasp is it, a lobster clasp? I've never heard of a lobster clasp opening during sleep to be honest. I would say though that if it is unclasping during your sleep and it's a lobster that it's probably loose and might need a new spring.

Without looking at it personally it reminds me of a Jaxxon stack where the smaller chain is on the outside with the larger chain on the inside. Hey, Soup! Actually be doing a video very shortly on tarnishing that might help you. Long story short though you can definitely shower in your chain and I recommend cleaning it with soap and water while you are in the shower. Doing this every time you shower will prevent it from tarnishing and will keep it nice and clean! As far as the tarnishing goes stay tuned For an upcoming video!

No problem wearing in the rain, shower or anything (wouldn't necessarily recommend chlorine though). Honestly no issues have ever been had with mine when my stuff has hit chlorine but everyone's experience might be different depending on the concentration. In the regular water/rain it'll be fine 👌
