hey Buddy, finally got to finish my silver knights. Some of the colours needed a bit of time to arrive here, and when they got to me I was going to move, so after finishing moving I finally did it! Cant wait for the next campaign vid with James and a new painting tutorial!

Please do more with the rest of the figs. They don't have to be as long as the knight vid, but like a quick run through of steps and the paints you use would be amazing.

erk2ish don't you worry buddy, I will be 💪🏻 Lots of real life stuff on right now but will try and get back to it asap. Thanks for the enthusiasm!

As an experiment I painted the Swordsmen 1 with leadbelcher 1 with Runefang steel and another in Ironbreaker. once a wash and a hilight applied using Necron Compound .. you cant tell the difference between them !!!. Which Im happy as Ive a shit tone of random metallic paints.

I struggle to watch this video, bad flashbacks to Anor Londo. Anyway great paintjob never used a metallic primer before seems useful.

Thank you very much for those tutorials... awesome job. Please make a tutorial for each miniature included in the core game set (and in the future expansions...) Greetings from Italy :)

What citadel wash can be used in place of Dark Tone
@ArdaconInternationalMedia7 жыл бұрын
I'd go for Nuln Oil matey. Dark Tone isn't quite as strong as black but definitely darker than Agrax Earthshade which is much more brown. So Nuln oil would be your best bet :) Here's a link - elementgames.co.uk/games-workshop/citadel-games-workshop-paints/citadel-shade/nuln-oil-24ml-?d=10209

Great video! I would have highlighted the armor just a little bit more with shiny silver. Even though it is dark souls, silver knights a very bright in the game but I really like how it turned out for you miniatures. What GenerationShift bases are you going for? Some of his range with ruined-ish city looks very cool indeed. I intend to base the heroes with swamp-ish bases since it is the starting area in Dark Souls 3 (basically a graveyard) and would like to differenciate them from the enemies. The challenge is Ornstein and Smough's base. They're in the Anor Londo Cathedral and I need to find a way to recreate it on the base. Looking forward to the next videos!

ThibSouls thanks man! Yeah I think I mention in the video that adding an edge highlight of either Runefang Steel or Ironbreaker would be a good shout if you wanted more highlights (although avoided here for the "quick paint." I think the ruined white city would probs work best from GenerationShift although some of the others might. I'm going to get together with him to make a range more specific to Dark Souls so maybe hold off for those?? Particularly boss bases!

Hot Gates Gaming Awesome stuff ! Thanks for the reply.

If you can get him to do boss bases that still have the attack arcs shown that would be INSANELY AWESOME!

Terrible background noise. 5:08 omg that's so distracting :/

Artur Arruda soz pal, I’m not a pro with a studio, just a fellow hobbyist with a camcorder trying to help one or two others. This was filmed in a gaming centre so nothing I could do 👍🏻 Hope you otherwise enjoyed.

Hey James, I already primed mine black in advance, would you still recommend spraying them in lead belcher, or would it be better to paint them with lead belcher out of the pot as to not clog up the detail? Awesome guide as always!
@ArdaconInternationalMedia7 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy! If you've already primed black, I'd recommend drybrushing leadbelcher from the pot a little like the Knight painting tutorial and using the techniques in that vid! Good luck and hope it helps!

alright, thanks!

Hey James! Great video. Loved the tips, never considered using water to even out overdone highlighting. Question: Is the Dark Tone in the bottle the same product as the Dark Tone that comes in a can or are they two completely different products (wash vs varnish or something like that) with the same color? I can't seem to find a definitive answer by googling...

Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed. Hope you guys out in Texas are ok? I believe the tin is the same :) The old fashioned "dip." So simply dunk each miniature in, shake it off and let it dry (rather than paint on the wash as we do from the bottle.) Hope that helps!
