Great advice for newbies and a great refresher for the veteran stackers. I am going to do one of your don'ts. I am a bit envious of that Binon Hoard dollar, thinking I will go shopping for one. In my case if I get the collecting itch I buy for the coin collection. If I am in a fiscal mood, I buy bullion. Keeping up with the Jones never ends well,making a wish/want list is the way to go.👍

Great video & advice! New to this hobby & appreciate the content. Having a difficult time in my state due to sales tax on metals finding much near premium. But I'm still dipping my toe into the silver.

It gets harder to keep track of what's in (your) stack if you buy a lot of different Silver products. That is why I decided to streamline my stack. In my case, I am focused on 1oz Silver Eagles, 90% Silver Dimes, and 20oz Scottsdale Bars. It is a lot easier to count what I have when I'm not dealing with several different weights.

Good advice. Everyone's unique taste and stacks are a good thing. Sorry to hear about the people you knew in the accident and you're right. Live life and do what you enjoy. Its almost better to get basic items for stacking so there is no attachment when you try to sell. Collection should be for the connection and attachment to certain pieces. Keep stacking 😎👍

Well I am aging with no marriage and no children or relatives so while I started out in the 80's as a collector and stacker but now I only stack the shiny as the timer on me and while I'm very healthy I am older now but then this year (weakness) an artist offered up a .999 ice cream cone weighing 8.9 ounces with Swarovski crystals looking like candy sprinkles so with a very small premium I bought it. This keeps me excited after all these years. Side note: Hey, the last time I was in Las Vegas the base for the Eiffel Tower for the Paris hotel was all that was, I attended my final wedding for a friend is all, I am to frugal to venture out. Do: If you live in a country that still mints its own coins, it is best to stack them. Government-issued coins are generally more recognizable and trusted by dealers. They may also benefit from certain tax advantages compared to privately minted products which are considered taxable "merchandise". Of course, if you use Silver and Gold to pay for goods and services (instead of saving to sell later for fiat), then it doesn't matter what kind of products you stack, as long as your sellers accept whatever you give them.

I have about 15 OZ of Gold and about 500 oz of silver and I think that is a healthy stack. So not too concerned if I need to get anymore. I'm happy not greedy.

You would generally be better off saving than buying redbull or 8 dollar coffee. The favorite meal with wife depends a little, are yall eating out 15 times a month? Buy an espresso maker and cutout the sugar crack convenience store runs.

My opinion is, don't buy silver on a credit card. But I do sometimes buy from Walmart online (free shipping) I pay it off on payday and get the points.

I am a stacker and collector. I try to alternate unless I come across something that I am like I have to have that one. I wish I could find a shop around me that was inly $1.50 over spot, they are all $3.00+ over spot here.

I personally stack the sovereigns (eagles, maple leaves, philharmonics, Britannia's and kangaroos) for somewhat longer term investment and 90% quarters and dimes for weight and for being liquid if I need to dip into it...

Buy low, but don't sell high. Your silver is a hedge and insurance policy: it's so you won't have to sleep under a tarp on the sidewalk if the dollar tanks. It isn't an investment, as the last 20 years or so should have demonstrated by now. Anything you put in silver over that last two decades would have been far outpaced in returns by traditional investments. It's a percentile portion of your overall investment strategy as a hedge. My advice: buy when silver tanks. I don't mean it dropped $1 an ounce. I mean when it drops lower than it has in 5 years or so. I bought my last pile at $20.98. Buy those dips, that's the opportunity. I don't get depressed when silver tanks, I buy more. I don't get excited when silver hits $35, because I don't hold it as an investment and am not planning to sell. All of my fiat dollars are for investments and speculating. Silver is an insurance policy to be held.

I'd say stacking and collecting need to be separated and fun interesting shit will steal money....my stack is only worth spot no collectables but I own other things of value like cards coins cars pews it's not a stack
