we are allowed to take video inside the gorilla house from today. 😊
The gorillas stayed indoors until their breakfast are ready outside. Gentaro and Kintaro were playing innocently in the room, and the atmosphere was very nice.
After that, the gorillas went outside to have their breakfast.
When they had finished eating breakfast, the eldest son, Gentaro, started to act out, though I don't know why. He was especially hard on his mother, Genki.
His father, Momotaro, and his younger brother, Kintaro, couldn't stand the sight of him and ran around the ground trying to stop him.
Afterwards, Gentaro returned indoors and stayed quiet.
Anyway, I felt sorry for Genki, and it was a tiring day for me to watch him.

Gentaro has been a handful from the day Kintaro was born, he was harrassing his mother constantly... Genki can look after herself, she shouldn't have to but Momotaro is too laidback. I will never forget the look on Gentaro's face when Genki spat water in his face..🤣 Priceless..😅 I found the indoors area rather depressing & dirty & it still is..😥✌️

Yes! Genki fights back. Even little Kintaro working to protect his mum. Gentaro on another tear, wreaking havoc, and causing his family anxiety. Momotaro had to check his eldest. All part of growing into adulthood for the soon-to-be silverback.

I can understand that Gentaro is becoming an adult but one of these days he is going to seriously hurt Genki or Kintaro. He doesn't just chase and punch. I've seen him pick up heavy logs to throw at Genki.

Reminds me of when Shabani used to act up trying to make Nene and Ai angry just so they would chase him because of boredom. Now he has kids to play and chase with so he has stopped. Gentaro is acting up and false charging probably because of boredom. Annie who is around same age has started doing that to Nene as well.

It's sad to see Gentaro so frustrated and lonely.. how much longer does he have to sit around and watch his mom love on his baby brother Kintaro and only wish that he could have the same from her. Not so much with Dad Momotaro. It's always been about his mom & let's not forget she is the oldest.Too much tension and fighting in such a sm. unit for Gentaro especially.. like people have said he needs to find his own wife and turn into a beautiful Silverback.. he has so much love and tenderness it's just all very sad for him. He really is a good boy just full of emotions and frustrations. I know the 🌎 of gorillas can be cruel with each other's family's. You can see how this family loves their caregivers and they can only do so much to keep them healthy and safe. Maybe with sooo much tention going on they could open their doors for Genki & Kinaro to find some peace from it all..maybe for Gentaro too.. And boy what was he thinking when he approached his dad the way he did? Scary to think that something bad could of happen between them two. I pray the zoo puts Gentaro on there to-do list as top priority to help this beautiful Gorillas needs.. because he's going to need it as he grows stronger and more aggressive. Thank God he isn't taking it out on his brother. That's about the only time his dad will step in and scold him. Thank you for allowing me to address my concerns. Gentaro is my favorite but I truly do love watching the whole family.✌

Нападения Гентаро на Генки участились. Момотаро что- то плохо защищает свою супругу, толку нет от его беготни . Ловкий и быстрый Гентаро успевает ускользнуть от возмездия. Бедная Геночка, итак по жизни натерпелась,.так еще сынок с агрессией нападает. Руководство зоо не видят что ли этого безобразия?

Кажется, что спокойно созерцают. Жаль, Генки. Она немолода.А в стеснённых условиях - ей некуда деться. Спина Моматоро не помогает. Моматоро медлителен. А молодой самец набирает силу . Семья прекрасная. Так хочется, чтобы у этих животных было больше простора! ( как и у любых крупных животных, независимо от страны мира). И вся жизнь этой семьи проходит за стеклом, при постоянном ежедневном потоке людей(((. Нет укромных уголков,где можно скрыться от вездесущих глаз, вспышек камер... Нам ведь,людям, хочется периодически это сделать?...Кстати,ниже в комментариях пишут,что и в семье Шабани дочка нападает на мать. И ответ: это нормально. Как и у людей,в подростковом возрасте,гориллы проходят психическую нестабильность... Но временные меры можно принять ?

Mama Genki being bullied by eldest son Gentaro who may be frustrated or bored and taking it out on Genki. Mama Genki takes to the rafters to leave the area to safety. Papa Momotaro does at one point gun after Gentaro who is agile enough to run. Baby son Kintaro may not like what brother Gentaro is doing to mama but Kintaro will defend his mom. These babes all need more space to roam around freely.

I sure hope so. This is abuse and so sad for Genki. It is setting a terrible example for the young one, and is a horrible existence for the Mom. Something needs to be done. It seems to be getting worse. I remember Genki having had some emotional issues with being bullied by some females ? Self mutilation or something?

@Ana Arteaga I believe Winston had the same type of issues with teenage Frank. Monroe got the bad end of that stick. I don’t think he has adjusted well to being without the family. I could be mistaken. I tend to be partial to this family.

I feel it is time for the Zoo to start planning his move ASAP. It is so obvious he is in need of a female mate. They're basically ignoring his needs basically failing him. I truly am disappointed with this Zoo, not really acknowledging this. They really put this plan into action. He is about to be 12? I believe his raging hormones are turning into anger, it is only going to continue to get worse, as he gets older and stronger each day. I know he loves and adores his family. Momo can only do so much to stop it. Clearly he cannot watch him every second & continue to protect his wife every single time Gentaro does something. It's sad that he still hasn't been moved yet. It's like their neglecting his needs, all while Genki suffers with more abuse she dealt with growing up. It's aggravating, disappointing, and unacceptable that this zoo isn't even trying to come up with at least a temporary situation or something!!!!!!! These gorillas deserve to be free in all actuality, especially if the Zoo isn't meeting all their needs. They all deserve to live a somewhat normal life like they would in the wild. I pray that he's moved ASAP! HE DESERVES IT AND MORE! They ALL do!

I love watching gorilla's they are beautiful, I'm still getting used to their names. Their faces show so many emotions. So smart they just amaze me. It's been so long since I've seen them at the zoo. Momotaro didn't seem very motivated to protect genki either. I think gentaro is frustrated at not being able to mate with genki and that reason leads him to mistreat poor genki. she is an older female who should be cared for and protected.

Ai ai. Kintaro fica no fogo cruzad. Proteger a mãe do irmão que ele ama. KintariFicou perdido e correy muito. Genki se defende bem. A literatura de gorilad diz que passam metade do dia a comer. O negócio é ocupar Gentaro com comida, game ou oútra atividade para deixar Genki em paz. Na minha humilde opnião a porta da casa deles deve ficar aberta por mais tempo, assim ampliar o espaço de convivência. E o travesso se ocupa e a mamãe fica tranquila. E Momotaro economiza as persiguições para corrigir Gentaro.😍

Because he’s alone. His mother has another child. She loves him but her attention is gone and he knows it. There is no one his age, he’s not in charge. Not old enough to head his own family. Nowhere to go, nowhere new to explore. He’s alone and I think he’s angry and frustrated. Oh yeah, and he lives in a cage.
