The video was filmed on March 3, 2024. Yesterday, I went to the zoo to check on Akiki's condition and found Ngoro bothering Akiki continuously, both indoors and outdoors😡.
The keeper said is that Akiki’s wound was caused by Ngoro.😓

What a very sad enclosure this is,on par with Kyoto,no wonder they are all frustrated.Just disgusting how animals are treated,the year 2024 and still nothing has changed for these poor animals.

These gorillas are indeed very intelligent, each with their own personality and behavior habits, much like us humans. However, they were all born in captivity, as were their parents. I just hope more people can pay attention to them, knowing that there are six unhappy gorillas living in this zoo with no future.💔💔

Because there aren't enough female gorillas, the options are either forming bachelor troops or waiting to be neutered. Personally, I would prefer choosing bachelor troops.🫶❤️🦍🤝

@VA4 these are not brothers. Ngoro is originally from Barcelona Spain his father is Xebo. Mother Machinda. Akiki is from Amnevile France his father is Lukas mother Ali. As for them getting wives and there been loads available. This is not true. Silverback will have to go in a bachelor group until a wive is found. They actually go in bachelor groups in the wild also. There's wives available in Japan but USA and Japan don't have a treaty in place for such things.
