He is absolutely one of the best father silverbacks I have seen. Even though the time is coming he will be devastated to lose both the children. I am hoping that Kiyo finds a bachelor group soon it a mate would be even better. I have a feeling Annie will be with the troop for awhile even after I hear about the rumors of her and Gentaro which I would love to see happen in the future.

Annie is very interested in humans. She wants face to face interaction since she remembers that she was cared for for quite awhile before being returned to her family. She needs more stimulation and attention from the staff. She must have biological needs and will desire a mate and baby in the near future. She is so intelligent and curious about everything. I loved the way she played with the water after the staff would mimic spraying her with the hose. She decided to use the water to make a rink. She needs some toys maybe a baby gorilla stuffed toy. I hope they are stimulated by something and have some fun. What about a pool?

Annie has a memory like that of an elephant. That’s why she bopps Nene on the head occasionally!😂

I have a question, even tho Ai didn't want much to do with Annie at birth,, but does she still reconize Ai as her Mother? & does Ai reconize Annie as her kid? and I wished thisvid was longer like 15 min or so I love watching these guys.

I think at some way they do. But we should not forget that they see each other in different way than we see our families. Even if Ai did not think Annie is her biological daughter, she is still her family, aca step-daughter; and for Annie, they are all the same - she was placed with all of them at the same time, so they are basically her only family she ever knew. Normally kids closer to one certain female because they are their priority, mane protectors, their world at some point, Annie clearly don't see Nene as one, so AI is basically the closest female, aca mother figure. Gorillas also tend to take healthy lost kids in their troop (if not ignore them). If they fall to the liking of certain female, she would treat a kid like her own, without division on biological/step-one. In old videos AI also seem to try to protect Annie from Nene, or at least show Nene kind of discontent with her behaviour (it may also be just protection of the weakest), even tho it was hard, cus Shbani tend to step in first as a flesh. (Sorry for long text, I just couldn't loose this opportunity to talk about my fav family😄 Also it was mine and only mine interpretation of their behaviour, it may be wrong in some way🤔)

@@siverski_liliputy, Ai treated Annie very badly in the beginning, i saw old videos of Nene and Ai holding Annie up and the two of them kicking Annie and just stop when Shabani came and in turn kicked them. I really believe if wasn’t Shabani Annie would’ve survived. Now Ai behaves better because Annie is older and can defend herself and now Ai can play with Annie .

Ai seem to be more comfortable near Shabani then it was few years ago, so we all hope she will overcome some of her fears or traumas, connected with mating/Shabani, soon
