Silverchair will make a comeback, I recently got back in to Grunge. Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, L7, even the Nickleback of Grunge... Puddle of Mudd XD. Of course Silverchair is on that list and I am ADDICTED!!! They outlasted even Alice in Chains who in my opinion eclipse Pearl Jam as the best Grunge group in the genre XD

Diorama is perfection. Even though Neon Ballroom is my favorite album, Diorama is way more complex and musically sophisticated. Even now it feels unique and way ahead of its time.

After my grandfather passed away in 2012, I played this song on repeat. Kind of sad, yes, but it was also comforting to me to know that wherever I go and whatever I do, he’s always watching over me. Silverchair are from my area, and back when I was a little kid my pop worked as a delivery driver, and one of his best stories is one where he was delivering a guitar to Daniel Johns' house in Newcastle, and Daniel refused to sign for it because he's famous n shit. So my pop just like "mate, I couldn't care less about who you are, you either sign for this or you don't get it", and Daniel ended up signing for it. After all these years pop still doesn't like him.

This was the early 00s, around Diorama's release, he had a lot of drug and mental health problems around that time, which, you know, can make people irrational and paranoid. I'm 30 years old now and I clearly remember when I saw this videoclip for the first time when I was like 11...it was the first time I had heard anything from Silverchair... I remember just standing there in front of the TV, utterly mesmerised by the beauty of Daniel Johns, lol, I had NEVER seen a human being so beautiful like that, lol, and I could NOT believe the sound I was listening to was even real, the music seemed (and to this day seems) too beautiful to be true, it seems otherworldly to me. I ran like a crazy person across the house to write down the name of the band and the song in a little piece of paper, so I could download it and burn a CD later lol. Until this day Silverchair is my favourite band of all time. My heart was broken when they broke up. When they briefly came back together to record one more album I remembered running across my high school patio screaming like a maniac, so happy with the news. And when they decided to break up again I was in college, I remember I was sitting down on the floor waiting to take an exam when I read the news on my phone, and I was heartbroken all over again. I never got to go to one of their concerts. I wish they could reunite just once more and make a big tour...it would be a dream come true for me
