I fear we'll have to wait September to see "what death we must die of", like we say here. Right now, as I'm not buying but my hands are tingling, I find some relief in taking the cash from the ATM every two weeks and in preparing the envelopes with the money. If I start buying again, I'll have the cash ready to buy a coin a week if needed. If I pay with cash, no 2% card fee and nobody knows what I'm buying. I love that.

Just like the stock market. Buy low sell high. Years ago I had over $100K in my 401K in company stock. As soon as Gannett stock reached record high $90 a share I started selling it off $15K at a time. By the time it went to $75 a share I did not own any. Warned other co workers but they said stock was safe. Now selling for $3 a share. Think most young people should try to keep thier gold & silver for at least 30 to 40 years.

The power wont go out long term pur issue is that it actually wont turn off and we are headed into a dyatopian techno nightmare survaillance state so a silver eagle is going to soon hold far more value than a benjamin franklin fiat bill value holds. To me its crazy how silver eagle still costs less than a benjamin franklin when its CLEARLY a better form of currency in terms of holding value and gaining value. Although i still think there is a time and placr for fiats, its just saving a crumpled benjamin it wont really gain value like an ounce silver coim thats also a legal tender currency. You jusy camt use it at walmart but that doesnt mean it doesnt have uses. I think theyre more useful actually

Inflation is caused by too much money in the system. Cutting rates will cause more inflation. The real cause of inflation is government spending. Rates for people doesn't matter when government spending is out of control.

There’s some interesting theory in that idea, but I think we have too much contrary information to conclude inflation is a straightforward or predictable phenomenon. If running debts this high was the primary cause of inflation Japan should have hyperinflation and Europe should still have deflation. Can the FED can stay firm in the face of increasing political pressure? My guess for the short term is yes and inflation can be capped below 3.5% per year. BTW I agree with you about rates not mattering to people. But the question in my mind is do they matter to rich people and successful businesses? Again, my bet is, yes they do. Let’s meet again in a year and see what happened

​@@simplybeef8232 The 100T number is theoretical number not the actual debt. The real number is close to 33T incl state/local; Personal debt is 21T and Business debt is 26T. The US economy is estimated around 26T as well. On the one hand, this isn't great: Citizens, businesses, and the govt each have debt = to about 100% of economic production. On the other hand, reasonable mortgage debt funded by a 30yr mortgage has long been stated as 3 times income. Meaning that, if income & assets grow at a combined rate higher than the effective interest rate on the debt, we aren't in in impossible territory...yet.

All the while banks stalling people wanting to withdraw money. If you buy gold, hold it yourself, and get most or all of your money out of the bank. Or you can plead with the later to please have what is yours.

I wonder sometimes if people think about the faith they have in the value of precious metals and the lack of faith they have in the US economy. Over the last 250 years the economy has been the hands down winner by an exponential factor. IOW what does real money mean? If it’s not ultimately some kind of measure of economic activity, I’m not sure it has any meaning. I think what you mean is something like a store of value (something that isn’t ever going to go down); which it not gold: it goes up and down everyday just like the USD. Or, you mean something like an object that is guaranteed to be taken in trade when you need something; which also isn’t gold or silver: esp. now that you have an enormous population that has zero clue how to identify either.

I View Gold and silver not only as a Store of value but REAL MONEY And a Simple Answer of understanding this is because Both are Needed and used in our world and way of living. We cannot have our society without them... As well Copper Palladium and Platinum and many other commodities... Also these are metals that dont Break down as easily as things like food which some people might consider money . Example If I had a Lemon Tree and can sell lemons for 1 dollar then you can see that lemon has value and can be looked at as money... But one month later that same lemon is worthless. This is why Commodities are looked at and considered more as Money and not Food items... Currency which is just a representation of money has and always will be abused... I stand by my above statement . We meaning the World will soon get a Proper Education on what Money is and Isnt and for what what reasons... Change is coming.. You can manipulate things for only so long but eventually Reality sets in and corrects itself...

At the beginning of April I bought some individual miners that Peter Schiff recommended: AEM, PAAS, CDE and IAG. I'm up 15% in just 1 month combined. One time PAAS, the silver miners, moved up 13% in just one day! I keep buying more as it grows. The miners have not caught up to the big move in the actual metals, so there's a long way to go!

On my last visit to my great local coin shop I asked him about purchasing old graded paper money. He thought the same as me that in the event of a God forbids collapse or major war that having silver & gold would be better then any paper money. Give my grandchildren an ounce of silver ( along with some cash ) for thier birthdays then several ounces of silver for Christmas. Thinking about purchasing them a 1/10 ounce gold piece when they graduate grade school then an ounce of gold when they graduate high school. Don't even want to think of what I can afford to give them when they graduate college.

No financial asset goes up continously, no finacial asset goes down continously. They make corrections.If a lot of people saying and writing gold will reach 2800 or 3000 , it is time for me to get off the train and watch from the sidelines. Gold was around 2050$ at the begining of 2024, now it is nearly 2400. In usd terms in 4 months around %17 profit. It is a huge profit. Maybe I am mistaken but I beleive it is time to put this profit into your pocket. You made a good profit, don't be greedy. Even for silver the profit is much better.
