Silvers Suspension Neomax 2-way Coilovers | 350Z Track Test and Review

I tested out my new Silvers Suspension Neomax 2-Way Coilovers for my 350z at the Track and doing some Autocross. I give a quick review on them and how they performed. They performed beyond expectations.

I just came across the video. I have the '24 Z and I'm looking at the Neomax coils. How are they on the street? Too bumpy?

I have an sw20 mr2 and I need new coilovers. Silver makes one and so does KW... I've been trying to talk myself out of wanting the kw's. Really I just want a reliable suspension that I can adjust but I really have a hard time justifying the price tag of the kw's. In your opinion do these new coilover pop or make a whole lot of noise on the street? I think a good answer here would sell me on the silver coilovers. Great video.

I’m glad you found the video helpful. So, in my opinion, it’s a tough answer to give. Both KW and Silvers make great products. Price tag of course plays a big factor. For me, I wanted a two adjustable coilover that wasn’t 4k. My choices were fairly limited and after doing research on how silvers makes theirs it was an easy choice. Providing shock dynos and upgradeable springs to swift, and pillow ball top mounts. I did look at the KW v3 and almost went with those since it’s required for SPEC Z. Anyway, long story short, I do think you’d be very happy with silvers. If it’s a dual use car, track and street, I’d say the one ways with the swift springs would be the way to go. Don’t opt for the pillow ball top mounts as it’ll transfer a lot of NVH. But, the real question comes down to budget. Either one KW or Silvers you can’t go wrong with but, I went with Silvers and couldn’t have been happier. Hoped that helped some.

I have an odd question for you: Do you know the length of the adjustment extension hooked up to the rears? I want to do that with my Tein S-Tech rear shocks. Tein offers the extension in 4, 8, or 12". I'm guessing 12" to get up to that rear support brace?

So, I don’t know the exact length because I’m not running any of the plastic trim in the rear so it might be different for you. But my extenders came as 12” and all I did was remove the knobs and then trimmed them down after measuring the height I wanted and put the knobs back on. I say for you order the 8” over the 12” if the price difference is significant. If not then either is fine as you’ll need to dremel it down.

@@2FIRacing thanks for the reply. I haven't been able to adjust the rears so I just set them to max stiffness, but it would be really nice to have those extenders. I've seen them listed for the Tein shocks but it didn't occur to me to install some until seeing your video. :)

@@2FIRacing I actually bought another 350Z so I have my 04 which is street legal and then the 03 track Edition it's already prepped and won't pass California smog. my first attempt at a budget tow didn't work so I'm looking at full on truck and trailer. it'll be a while. :) probably won't get that one on track until next year unless I want to spend $400 for a U-Haul truck and trailer combo.

@@2FIRacing by the way you mentioned that you put the rears on full stiffness but what do you think about loosening up the rears a little bit to improve cornering traction? because the racers I've talked to are not running any rear anti-roll bars and they say at the very minimum just leave the stock one on but don't put stiff ones on the rear because then the rear axle actually loses traction if it's too stiff.
