Just to clarify, Lot 733 - the 1999 Subaru 22B-STi Type UK is not a fully restored car, I got it confused with Lot 734, the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRC. is all original apart from some easily reversible modifications and is coming to market from almost 20 years with its owner. (The restoration comment actually refers to Lot 734, the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRC).

Harry, MV Agusta dominated the 350cc and 500cc class in international motor racing from 1965 till 1973, after that Yamaha became very powerful for a few years with their 2-stroke racers. In 1977 the original MV Agusta factory ended motorcycle production. It had a few take overs, the most important one by Harley Davidson, yet is now again owned by an Italian family.

The details concerning the MV Augusta are slightly incorrect. MVs had stopped winning races by then, Barry Sheen was dominating on his U-engined, Suzuki 500cc two stroke. Also, Laverda Jota was considered the fastest road bike in '77, but it was pretty close. But that's beside the point, the MV is a work of art
