This would be great for a "computer" to hook up to your TV for media streaming or web browsing.

I build one using this case as a media server and streamer. I had 14TB storage an SSD and Intel Celeron CPU integrated itx. The whole system draws less than 20w with a 60w pico PSU it is more than suffice. Cheapest itx media server you can build and also smallest. This case is great value for someone who is after discrete low power computing.

Exactly the type of system this was designed for. It is definitely not for a gaming system, that is quite obvious.
@jwmckay33192 жыл бұрын
I bought mine to hold a mini ITX that’s just used for web, file and media sharing 24/7. Intel Celeron onboard graphics, pico psu, 2.5 HDD, measly 65 W power brick. Does exactly what I want, out the way, noiseless, cheap to run. It’s all about the end user requirement, and it’s clearly not for gaming. Suits the job I had in mind.

Excellent video as always. Despite you saying you won't touch it again, I would appreciate your comparing it with the NUC boxes and Zotac Zboxes. Is it suitable for where more CPU grunt is required? Is there an ITX board with a 10 Gb NIC? That would obviate the need for local storage. And, of course, we live in hope of the AMD APUs. I have one small (4 second!) issue with the video. Watch it from 0:15 to 0:22 and you'll see that there's a flash at the bottom, showing your name and the title of the review. It partially obscures some of the parts of the case. I suggest it should disappear at 0:18 after you've finished showing the box and start showing the case itself.

Nice Leo, Great if you just want a Retro gaming old classic PC games Dos Box - 8bit/16bit computer Emulators - Steaming - Watch Movies - browse the Internet - Shopping so forth,. The adaptor plate to attach Milo10 to the back of a Monitor, Not many newer monitors support that & would mean fiddle / getting up to find USB Port so forth, That adaptor plate is better off going on a wall near the Monitor. Nice Silverstone low profile cooler & could be better if they made one all copper & min 2 Copper heat pipes, like the old classic Zalman CNPS8900 low profile. PSU, I think I would go for the older Silverstone Milo 05,8 or 9 ITX Case, not much diff in size, 7 litres & can fit an SFX PSU (more watts & Cheaper & better Safety & gold or platinum Rating & 5 years warranty) Going to hold off for the 5000 Series G 6core.

Leo here: Must confess, the idea of mounting the Vesa plate on a wall hadn't occurred to me. Obviously that is what you do with a TV but it is an interesting idea for a PC. Ref CPU coolers, I have a selection of SilverStone coolers in various heights and - apart from the one you saw - they each had a problem on the ITX motherboards as space around the socket is so tight. One cooler has heatpipes and where they curve round it clashes with the VRM heatsink. Another has an 80mm square fan and the corners of the fan frame also clash. ITX is an awkward thing to deal with in a confined space.

@@KitGuruTech Mounting that Milo10 on a wall be like Thermaltake having a P0.2.8 Litre full shell Baby Silverstone could supply 4 x Raw plugs & screws for the wall/woodscrews & market it that way. If I did a build in the Milo 10, I would do away with the SSD/HDD tray & use a CPU cooler that almost near the top case panel Vents & draw air directly from the CPU fan. 2.5' SSD's Some options are, mod one somewhere else if possible with a reusable 3M Command 17203 small Strip or buy something like Sabrent USB 3.1 (Type-A) to SSD 2.5-Inch SATA Hard Drive /SSD & use USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C 10gb/s port on the motherboard.

Was looking at this for a turing pi case, given its low TDP, and mini itx size. Pretty specific use case to run an ARM server that sits out of its way, but I think this case might be the one.

Now that you can buy 5600G retail units, is it viable to put one of those into this chassis? is a 160W PSU enough to drive that?

Just watched this. I bought this case recently for remote learning setup. Your review made some good points but I feel missed the mark on the use case for the Milo 10. Any serious pc enthustist wouldn’t use this as gaming pc. With no Internal discrete gpu no gamer would go this route. But for htpc or office setup is great, especially with VESA mounting. I tried the silver stone power adapter but quickly went to much higher capacity unit from RGEEK. And there are more APU’s available then mentioned with Ryzen releasing 5000 series later this year. This did not seem to carry same quality as your typical material.
@KitGuruTech3 жыл бұрын
Don't leave us in suspense; if you used a RGEEK Pico (up to 200W!) which APU are you using and which cooler did you employ? that sounds like an ambitious set-up. As for Ryzen APUs, well yes, we shall address them when we are able to get our hands on them.
@andrewpezzo8003 жыл бұрын
@@KitGuruTech APU is ryzen 3400g. When I tried playing Destiny 2 the pc would shut down every time game launched. Switched to RGEEK with appropriate power brick and I can do light gaming with no issues. Cooler is a noctua super low profile model (nh l9a). Temps are great! Certainly a case for a very specific target but if you are in that target group the flexibly of an itx mobo in a tiny case is great. Otherwise I would have considered a nuc.

I'm not quite sure what that the maker of this video is smoking, but I don't think he gets what this case is supposed to be used for. Is it for gaming? Of course not. I'm currently looking at one of these to use as a living room HTPC/streaming PC. I don't like the HDD/SSD mounting bracket, as it seems like it would impede air flow quite a lot and cause problems with cooling and fan noise. But, with an NVME drive and a decent low profile cooler I think this would be great. I'm also thinking a pico psu that slots straight into the ATX 24 pin socket, as an alternative to the Silverstone one. There are lots of options for that approach. So, I think it depends on the use case. For some, this is a very good solution.
