God I love his voice when it breaks up a bit. Very nice. I hear people compare them to Smashing Pumpkins a lot and yea I hear it. But I also hear some Sunny Day Real Estate. Esp in the vocals.
@brandoncarey499710 жыл бұрын
Yeah when I first heard their song Lazy Eye yrs. ago hearing it on a radio station (which at the time I hadn't been listening to much new music/radio) I almost thought it was Billy Corgan. I started listening to radio again to find out who it was; I didn't have internet, smartphone, etc. and was not doing well at the time.

Personally, I feel like Brian sounds similar to Josh Klinghoffer vocally, and that the Neck Of The Woods album sounds alike to Dot Hacker.
@chrispiland94039 жыл бұрын
Wow Kory, you may have just introduced me to a new fav band! Dot Hacker is AMAZING!!!!! Just looked them up and first song was Eye Opener. Ha! I'm hooked. Thanks man!

The human voice - the most powerful instrument there is, and the hardest to master. In my opinion this guy is one of a handful that has it all to become what he already is - a true superstar!

I can't handle how amazing this is! They need to release an acoustic album!

It's amazing how real they are, you can see something so true in them, like how nervous they are in the beginning but then the outcome is absolutely beautiful.

I've spent the past 10 months or so thinking the lead singer of this band, who I only recently came across, was a woman. Never saw any photos or looked up anything on them. His voice just sounded like a woman's voice. What do you know? I still like them.

Wow. These songs are actually pretty well written. When I heard them as in their recordings on their new albums, I thought it was so bad and taken over by the same ol 'indie' vibe with all the electronic stuff. But acoustically, It's great. Which restores my belief that they are still a great band writing great emotional songs. Just are being fuckin controlled by producers.
@TheStatisticalPizza8 жыл бұрын
I definitely think some of the magic of these songs gets lost due to over-production, but I think that was mostly their choice to go more in an indie pop direction.

Saw them last year at the Aragon, I'm assuming that's the show you were talking about. I have video up. There were a lot of audio issues and I was right next to some jerk but the band was ON FIRE. Sarah got so much props for someone filling in for a lot of people's favorite band member.

Their albums are so over produced - Glad there is a stripped down version of some good songs here. You can really hear they're talented musicians.
