Very interesting to hear Weiss on the piano! Also well played.

Thank you very much. Did you also listen to the octava bassa version?
@Fellow_Traveller19852 жыл бұрын
@@Pleyel204 Yeah I did and I think maybe I liked that one even more. You should do more piano renditions of Weiss, I really liked it.

Thank you for the advice. I will think about it. In the same music style I should upload soon a sonatina written by Haendel and a chaconne by Fischer.

Great job bringing this piece to the piano. I like the way you express melody and bass by evoking the sound of a guitar. Always a pleasure to hear from you and your Steingraeber.

Thank you very much Pablo for your nice comment. I am happy you like it. Actually it has been very interesting to try to keep the spirit of a guitar piece and think it in term of a piano music. At the beginning I was mimicking guitar but it did not work on the piano. I like your use of the word "evoking" it makes me think that the final form is close enough to what I tried to do. Best wishes, Christian.

I like it , would you mind sharing the sheet music?

I am happy you like it. It is public domain music and you can find it as a free download on internet. I play directly from the guitar score.

Well played Sir, but I can't help thinking it sounds an octave lower on a classical guitar or Lute ?
@Pleyel2043 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I played it at the height written on the score (I used the guitar score), but I agree that it sounds lower in many renderings especially on lute. I am not a guitar specialist, maybe there is some issue in the guitar technique or in the playing tradition.

@@Pleyel204 the guitar is a transposing instrument, it sounds an oktave lower. Usually there is little 8 unter the clev but most scores dont have that. I think this piece sounds great on the piano, id love to hear it lower tho :))

In C minor??
@Pleyel2042 жыл бұрын
The score I used is in E minor, but indeed I also saw versions in C minor. Thanks for asking.

@@Pleyel204 yes, in fact the original key for the lute is in C minor, which in my view is much more beautiful. thanks to you instead for answering me. Greetings, Roberto.
