This song has such a bittersweet feel to it, it unlocked something deep in me as an 8-year-old and it still takes me there to this day.

You took one of the most relaxing themes in gaming and made it even more so. As always, the instrumentation of your work is phenomenal, but this is taking it to another level And then that ad at the end. The fact that you made another track just for that is something else

Amazing! This has to be one of my favorite pieces by Ms. Oka, and i think you've done a wonderful job rearranging it. It's still so warm and inviting, with all the extra sounds, which I wasnt expecting! Cant wait to hear more stuff from you

Using a Rhodes with this tune was a perfect choice. Just know that the few thousand of us who've seen this video so far know how good it is, and appreciate not only the song, but the video production and animation.

Hey Steven! Quick question. How did u get that sound out of the fender Rhodes for the intro part? I’ve just started getting into electric piano and don’t personally own a Rhodes myself but love the tones u can get out of them.
@StevenMorris5 жыл бұрын
Hi Joe -- the trick is to run a lot of effects in parallel (I think in this case I did a reverb or two and a couple of choruses) -- I mixed those relatively speaking loud compared with the dry signal. Of course the dry signal and basis of the wet signal is processed as well with EQ & compression. The cool thing about a Rhodes is that you can really alter the sound by messing with the individual keys' pickup positions and the like. This will affect the tone possibly the most as it's the start of the signal chain, so to speak.
