Had the Sport about a month. Its amazing. Super sturdy and as a 6ft 200+lbs I fit nicely. No flex in pedal/base plates! (no flex anywhere)

#1 thing to make sure before doing anything is make sure the brace that holds the monitors is level. If it isn’t the side monitors will have a huge gap at the top. Also use black electrical tape to pull them together perfectly and seal the seam so no light gets through. This will save you hours of frustration

Great guide! I've a tripple setup with 27" Monitors, because the difference to a 32" setup in the peripheral view is not that large. A 27" setup is smaller and cheaper (monitor's and GPU). During assembling I struggled a lot finding the right distance of the angled side arms. The angle itself is not a problem, but the distance from the joint to the center of the middle screen was a lot of fiddling. Do you have a hint for finding the right distance?

The back of my monitors do not allow the mounts to be rotated and leaves a huge gap at the top. The vesa plate gets inserted into the back of the Acer monitors using the outer slots. I had to order some mounts from amazon to take the gaps out of the rig. Acer 27" XF270H monitors leave a big gap on the top. Mounts I ordered are "VideoSecu ML411B Adjustable Tilt Swivel Rotation TV Wall Mount Bracket". Had to drill out the bolt holes on the amazon mount and only could use one bolt/T-slot, then placed a bolt on each side of the lower mount not secured by a bolt/T-slot to prevent it from rotating. Have them lined up great now. The mounts that come with the rig do not swivel for the 27" Acer flat screen gaming monitors. I can send a pic if you like.

Hey Michael, we do have a solution to this. We can provide you with monitor spacers to solve this and still be be able to use the included Vesa mounts. Please email us back if you'd like to do this. For others reading this, this is a very monitor specific thing related to monitors with sunken mounts, but again, with spacers, will still work fine.

Great video! Eric, would the vibrations transfer to the monitors? I have a CSL DD and one buttkicker, and I'm worried about the combined vibration shaking up my triple 32" monitors on the RC Cockpit Sport model.

Hey Ren, Thx! Some of the vibrations / movements do transfer but that's a *good* thing as it's more immersive to have the whole thing shake and move together as one (like it would in a real car). That's why we designed our mounts as integrated instead of standalone.

With monitors tilted all the way in the total width is 57 inches to the back of the mounts at the widest point.

The G5 setup is still running strong! For the price they're a great monitor. For a little extra, the step up to a G7 is also a good option.

Generally it's best to have the center monitor as close as possible without interfering with your wheel. Our setup needs a little extra clearance due to the motion system, but is still about 27"- 35" from the center screen to our head position.

We have tried motion with integrated monitors and also freestanding and would *highly* recommend going with a freestanding monitor mount. It's better for your gear (motion can break the monitors) but the bigger deal is how your eyes / brain sync up the motion cues. For whatever reason its *much* better if the monitors are not moving. 65 degrees is what we're using here for 1000R curved 32" but it depends are how curved your monitors are. For 1500R you'd do something like 55 degrees and for flat 45 degrees. Ultimately though, it's all about personal preference to get them how you like them.

The monitors in this video are the 32" G5 Odyssey 1000R Curved Screen. We've since swapped out the middle monitor for a 32" G5 flat screen. We find that it gives a more immersive feel over a curved center screen. The angle of the side monitors largely depends on personal preference for Field-of-View (FOV) settings.

The distance with this setup is about 27" - 35" depending on the seat. It could be a little closer, but we have to allow room for the motion system.

This is a really valuable video for mounting curved triples! One question: you never discussed setting up the angle for the side monitors...especially with curved. For flat it's more straight forward, but how do you get the angle perfect?

Hey Matt! Getting the angles to match perfectly is easy with our built in protractor on each of the pivot plates (see photos on our site). However, we'd be happy to do a video on this as well. @@RacingCockpits I saw that in the vid! Unfortunately I don't actually have a Racing Cockpit rig, those protractor guides look so useful though! I was watching because there's maybe 2 videos I could find on YT that featured triple curved monitors! Love those vesa mounts too. I used an FOV calc that showed the angle to utilize which allowed me to position the side monitor arms at the correct angle, but then my vesa mounts have the ability to also turn, so the angle is likely a lot tighter than what is recommended by the FOV calculator. That's also why I like your Vesa Mounts - It looks like they will always be flat up against the main support rail, so the angle the bar becomes the angle of the sides to the front. No need for a video on my regard. You guys look like you have AWESOME products!

@@rezadue I used 65° (maxed out) because I wanted a full 180 degree view to be able to see other cars when they are next to me. And also a steep enough angle for the ASUS bezel free kit to work where the monitors line up.

15 degrees is a decent default for GT cars. Mine is at 18 degrees which feels good for me being quite tall. All personal preference at the end of the day. You can certainly mount it to even be straight at 0 degrees as well.

What distance do you have to the screen? You need to be 90cm from if you have 32 inches and 1440p to cope with 57ppd which is the retina lag. Ideally, you want 60ppd or more. But you sit closer to a 90cm? maybe 75cm? How do you experience this? pixelated or something?

No pixelation with this setup at all. We've had hundred's of people test drive ours and build their own and nobody has ever mentioned it. Do you have a calculator you're using that you could link? We're curious to learn more and see where the calculation may need to be modified.

Distance and PPD target Can you change my link there. You also see explanations of what limit different PPD.57 you want to pass and 1440p screens require you to sit at least 90 cm from if it is 32 inches. 4k screen on 32 inches, you can sit as close as 60cm and still manage PPD of 57, which is the apple retina mini requirement. Or do you think I'm wrong? I'm going to build a rig here this year and I'm going to have 32 inches and have it around 60-76cm from where I got it. But 32 inch 4k screen with G-Sync Compatible is too expensive for me. 1440p 32 with G-Sync Compatible is under half the price and I can afford that. But it seems to be too bad unfortunately.-

@@RabbitConfirmed It really just comes down to personal preference and system performance. It's always easier on a PC to only use one monitor. A triple monitor setup will give you a much wider view, but also takes more to setup on top of the cost of three monitors.
