If the tray is flush against the side of the phone -- if you can't get a thread or floss in there -- try pushing a bit harder when pushing the supplied pin (or a paper clip) into the little hole. If you're pushing hard enough to break something, this is probably not the answer. In that case, some suggest wiggling the pin from side to side while pushing.

The problem seems to be poor engineering. When I did finally get the tray to slide out, it felt ragged, like it was not designed properly. It seems you're fighting that when you can't get it to slide out. If it weren't an electronic device, this situation would call for a bit of oil or WD-40. But don't do that! The quantity of lubricant needed here would be tiny, like what you'd get from rubbing your fingers along nose or forehead. You could try rubbing that along the sides of the tray, once you are able to remove it from the phone. Just make sure not to get any of it on the SIM card or other electronics.

moto g5 PLUS uses a new insertion mechanic, I cant open it, the tray is stuck,,, I might of inserted the sim wrong way, theres no way for me to open the plastic sim tray, I used the pin hole to push it out with a paperclip but its stuck still

+Nifle xible dont use paperclip use sim tray opener pin . if that wont work..try to pull up the sim tray by that hole and then try to thread fix in the gap and pull up

Ill try that, thanks for reply man, the included tool didn't work(it went all the way in and nothing) The included tool is kinda shot. Ill try your tips though, if you get any other ideas, that be great, let me know. I'm crying inside cause I got this on christmas so its brand new ;/
