Honestly I wish they integrated some of the trading systems from SimCity into cities skylines. Cities skylines perfects the areas that SimCity lacked, but Cities lacks the .... Diversity that SimCity had... Multiplayer is a pretty great idea too.

This makes me wish there was a 4 times scaled up anno 1404 mp map...to dump the Chilluminati alliance in..and the lewis& duncan Barons in...with a hard AI or couple of mediums and see if what happend first..alliance backstabs or coperation to deter comp aggresion.

Namoth they would probably all get raped by hard AI. From my extensive experience the hard AI tends to have a functional Empire with atleast 4 islands, a functioning Navy and land military, all by about an hour and a half into the game. From what I’ve seen of the yogs playing Anno 1404/Dawn of Discovery they would stand no chance. When I play against hard AI I have to rush patricians and military production for DEFENSIVE purposes. #CardinalLuciusInvincible

True ,though you can delay ther aggresion by geeting some harbror deffensives up and unlocking the diplomatic flattering with honor quickly ,but ye its only a very brief delay if you dont get some sort of navy and army up the hard AI's is gona start grind away at you fast as fuck. still be fun to see them in a mooded extra extra large map to garantie 'space' with the more balanced medium ones though just for the chance of them descovering all the underhanded items from the pirates or Venice to steal each others ships without provoking fullscale war or the hole Agent thing to try and sabotage each others industries ^^

It was fun. Certainly not on par with Cities Skylines of today. It had very small buildable areas and doesn't have the customization options of Cities(Mods, expansions etc.) but it also had very good concepts of trading, upgradeable service buildings and super futuristic towers.

Simon, SimCity is pretty much only American Cities! No one ever walks to work in their "cities". Most of them dont even have sidewalks.

I don't know I've lived in a city in America off and on for a good portion of my life and a lot of people I know take the bus or walk to work. I don't think I've ever been in a city without sidewalks, except for in the new and underdeveloped areas.

It seems overly contemptuous to put the word cities in quotation marks. Sidewalks are everywhere in America except for some residencies areas with lawns.

It depends on the density really. In urban cities where things are closely packed together, people do, a lot. In suburbs its far less, since there residential areas are further apart from shops. And in more rural areas, walking to places is just unrealistic. Less density means less sidewalks.

Not sure if joke or if serious :D Btw you guys should check out Railway Empire or Transport Fever, absolutely stellar transport tycoon style games. Transport Fever is practically a modern better version of OpenTTD in almost all respects, cant believe nobody of the Yogscast has played it yet, it has a huge modding scene too. Instead we get a 2 hour stream of FUCKING SHIT SIM CITY. Haha jk love u guys. I guess the only reason to play OpenTTD instead of Transport Fever is because it has multiplayer.

I still think this game is good. The art style is much better than Cities Skylines and the music is just amazing. If Simcity had expandable regions and had offline at launch and mod support this game would have been so great.
