This was always my headcannon too... I tend to go one step further by thinking Cornelia killed his first wife in a jealous rage (or something similar), thus leaving Gunther to cover up the murder in order to protect and keep the family name clean as possible. Reaching, I know, but interesting for storytelling purposes imo, lol.

Yeah it's a novel from the point of view of a pedaphile and rapist it's supposed to make everyone uncomfortable. For some reason adaptations and the covers given to the novel seem to take it as a story about a seductive child instead.

I meant that the main character is an unreliable narrator with various clues that the way he describes Lolita and the relationship don't match the reality of what's going on. For example, despite describing Lolita as a willing part of the relationship he also mentions that she won't stop crying. Adaptations, interpretations, and the cover art publishers choose for the book seem to miss this and treat the main character's word as true. In fact to try and dissuade that interpretation the author asked that covers not have a depiction of little girls on them but almost every cover has a young girl on it usually in a "seductive" manner. Lolita the novel can be interesting if you can handle it but so can the way it's been reacted to.

Okay, based off of that, this is my theory: So Lolita is actually based off of the Lolita from the story of course but with a slight twist on the end of her story. My theory is that Lolita is actually the mother of Olivia and that perhaps Samuel Goth electrocuted her to death because he was mad at her being married to another man and wanted to keep her all to himself. After Lolita died he kept Olivia and raised her with him, and soon fell for her because she looked like Lolita. As he is much older and a Technophobe, as well as just an overall psycho who would want to keep Olivia entirely to himself, it stands to reason that he would raise her without Technology being present. Also based off the age gap between him and Lolita it does also make sense that by the time Olivia became an adult he would be an elder. With their favourite things it also makes sense that Samuel would originally make Lolita like those things because she was young and easily influenced, and that when raising Olivia he would do much the same thing. Hence why their favourites are all the same because he would have in a way programmed it into both girls. For Olivia she would love Samuel because he was all she had ever known, and Samuel of course loved Olivia because she reminded him of Lolita. It's just a theory, a really gross theory, but it makes sense.

The fact Lolita is in the base game makes me wonder if she’s Viktor Goths first wife or perhaps, lover whom took his last night as an act of passion, or of course he gave it to her as a sign of ownership. As she carries the Goth title but isn’t on the family tree and seems to have no connection except for her last name, she is either a disowned child of the previous Goth generation, a deceased partner to Gunther’s father or...something a little more disturbing. I do agree that her traits and appearance mimic a child’s, which in itself drags up further questions regarding the Goth family as a whole, with Bella’s father disappearance and the sketchy Goth history, I am beginning to ask the question “are these women dead/missing, because they know something?”. It’s possible Lolita was Gunther’s fathers lover, perhaps she was part of the hired help at first, or simply a young woman the family took in, only for Viktor to become infatuated with her. Being a young adult he knew there was nothing socially wrong but her character and person sent alarm bells ringing in the ears of his ever present and faithful wife, she saw the truth and unable to risk losing everything by killing her husband, she decided to kill the girl. Perhaps the girl was pregnant and Gunther’s mother was putting a stop to something much more horrific happening in the future, or perhaps she simply didn’t want the scandal. Or maybe it’s just that Lolita was Viktors first wife, she was bratty, childish, stubborn, she insisted on doing something herself like going out during a storm or messing with the very few electric items the Goths had and died because she had no idea of what she was doing. And not yet having a child, her existence from the family tree was scrapped to avoid gossip and murder accusations. Maybe Gunther killed her, maybe it was a mere glitch of code and she was meant to be part of the family as a cousin or daughter. Her name is all we really have as well as her traits. Again, being part of the base game points the finger at Gunther’s father, or even his mother. Maybe Lolita was a slave, perhaps she ran the mansion and pleased Gunther’s father because his mother loathed her husband intensely. All the questions are there, and if we dare to link in Bella’s disappearance following a brief affair with Don Lothario, you could say the Goth men do away with women who displease them. Just a theory. In the sims there’s so many it’s impossible to keep track. But I do agree with this video, just wanted to add my two cents to help with other conspiracy simmers out there 👌🏻

Gunther has TWO laptops in his inventory. So... I suppose Lolita was Gunther's first wife (thus the name Goth). Maybe that other laptop was hers? In my own sims 4 savefile, I recreated the entire goth family tree featuring every Goth family member ever shown in a main sims title ... I made Lolita the adopted youngest daughter of Victor and Gretle goth, making her Frida and Gunther's little sister. Now this doesn't really make sense, because she would show up in the family tree like a normal child but whatever, I wanted to include her and I thought that fit well ^_^

When I play I resurrect her and get her living her best life, usually with Holly Alto once she ages up. They adopt loads of cats and babies and it warms my heart to finally see her happy, every time. She might be a sim but she deserves happiness
