Freud didn't really have a lot to go off of in the beginning so I'm glad more psychologists came along to expand upon his theories and turn down his others. This video oddly helped me with some anxiety I'm feeling today... Even just you saying that your anxiety is a "liar" rang true to me right now. The things I'm anxious about today are non-existent and not necessarily normal "stressors" and that really hit hard. I've been struggling with my mental health for a few years now and have pretty much been in "survival mode", doing the "must"s and "have to"s, but not having the energy or motivation to do much else. I recently reached a point where I decided that I wanted to do some thing for me, something I'd enjoy and that would make me happy. I have been struggling with it and the motivation a little but listenting to Plumbella really makes me feel better and feel like I can keep going. Hey Jessie! Something I learned from being a psych major is that internally the pathways of anxiety and excitement are very similar, so sometimes you can tell your brain that the anxiety you feel is actually excitement and change how you experience the emotion! It obviously doesn't work 100% of the time, but I've found it super helpful to not only manage my anxiety but also get excited about the things I used to love again!

Exactly! That's what I always felt like with the Goth family. Besides, having studied the political history of the UK as part of my A Level (many many moons ago) I learned that a lot of the rich old families (who would have been Tory) eventually ended up quite financially poor, just "asset rich". Like its all well and good having a massive manor house, but you can't put food on the table with it. And to sell it to release the money you need to have someone to wants to buy it from you. If all the other rich people already have all the houses they want, then what? So in my mind, the Goths inherited this big old house which has been in the family for hundreds of years, but now its run down and they're just doing their best to get by. Like sure it looks grand, but it also looks dated which fits since big country houses would go through generational changes & remodelling but the Goth house looks like they weren't able to do so. They're just a creepy kooky family trying to do their best. Maybe their ancestors were Tories but they're not!
