Great review! I agree on the brake setup being quite sloppy. We've developed a kit to address this and are in the final stages testing. The kit has a new spring and some elastomers which make it feel a lot better. We'd be happy to send out a kit if you want to try it!

Another customer for these pedals here! I have noticed that there are also better copy's of the Heusinkveld's which are slightly more expensive. They look more similar and have the better elastomers. But I went with these because everyone is so enthusiastic about them. By Te way, I really like your, in my opinion, low-profile without bells and whistles kind of approach to your reviews. It keeps me somewhat grounded to not spend too much to this hobby (life style) 😅

I've been using SIM jacks for about 3 years now. Freejoy is great until it isn't and then it's a nightmare. Diview all the way. Or if you're lazy you can actually just calibrate these in windows and be done. Elastomers please treat yourself into changing them, the Huesinkveld ones are ok but a tad expensive for what you actually get. A couple of years of abuse and they're definitely feeling it now, time for me to do the bearing mods. Other than that for the price they're great pedals. on a side note if you ask the seller if they can do anything about import tax usually they're quite helpful and will change the price in the parcel. So no import fees. Win win
@davidpardy9 ай бұрын
How do you go with replacement elastomers, and where have you sourced them? I'm having issues with the brake pedal in my Moza CRP, I've just split my third medium damper - this one only lasted 8 days of barely any racing! Moza are sending out replacements (again) but it would be great to find an alternate source for a more robust formulation
@Haulinbassracing11 ай бұрын
I run these. Using a valve spring from a boss 302 coyote v8 and orange independant truck bushings on the brake. Replaced the bushings with 8x14mm flanged bearing with 6mm i.d 8mm o.d bearing sleeves centered in them to not have to use washers or spacers. I had to solder a ground wire to the control box as with my csl dd i got quite a bit or RFI

I purchased a set with dampers on all 3 pedals I find they feel fine with them, but I have not removed them to compare. The only other change I have made is to limit the brake pedal travel using the orange bushing like you mentioned for the throttle.
@YTDE4269 ай бұрын
I bought these as well. Worked fine at the beginning, but once mounted to my rig (which is isolated from ground due to rubber wheels), there was extreme interference with my Fanatec CSL DD. Whenever both were connected, you could see the raw data jumping around like crazy while turning the wheel. Looks like the Simjack Controller is not grounded correctly, there’s also a free soldering space on the motherboard for that. My solution ist simple but inelegant: I removed the Mainboard from the housing and taped it to the baseplate of my Paddels, so that the soldering pins have contact with it. That fixed the problem for me.
@SimRacingCorner9 ай бұрын
Fortunately, I don't have any issues with my CSL DD running these pedals. But I know it is a wheelbase that can interfere with other hardware.

Hey mate nice video 👌 i bought the pedals myself and i couldn't be more happy. like yourself i have swapped the stock spring with an elastomer and i'm liking the result a lot. there is one question i would like to ask you since i've seen it around min 11:28. basically using freejoy i can see the the pedal signal pick up is not smooth and it'll sometime freeze input for a few seconds.. also, after a few times i write config to devices like when i'm fine tuning the pedals input pedals will brick and then the only solution is to write back the original config file and the restart calibration again..long story short i've switched to diview and none of these problems are there. what is your experience with freejoy ? i'd like to go back and try it again to be honest. Also i think the ability to mod these pedals is what will get guys like me into these pedals. you can do almost whatever you like with these and modding imo is part of the hobby. eager to read you
@SimRacingCorner11 ай бұрын
FreeJoy does show a delay registering the pedal input as you describe, but that doesn't affect the pedal in any way outside FreeJoy once you've written to the hardware. So it's not transferred to any games if that's what you're concerned about.

I haven't used the LC pedals, so I can't answer that with any authority. The LC pedals seem to be highly praised in reviews, so seem very capable. The SimJacks are very adjustable, which I would suggest is the main advantages these have over those the Fanatec pedals.

I have a question for you about pedals. You have used a large number of pedals over the years, what pedals are the quietest you have used. I currently have a set of csr elite pedals, but when I go full throttle or clutch very quickly there is a loud thud, and likewise when dumping those pedals. So I kind of in the market for a different set of pedals that won't wake people up at night. I guess it would also be good to mention that the budget would need to be between £200-300

Pedal noise will always transfer into the rig, that's unavoidable. The least noisy pedals I've used are the Logitech G Pro's. They're not silent, but they're pretty quiet, with rubber end stops that absorb some of the impact. And the pedal base is plastic, so that helps too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5bMpJ2Am7qImtU
