I keep hearing everyone say about how SImon wrote the Casper and Nova book that he read in the future as Shermy, but I don't think it was him. it was the little Fionna and Cake fan who wrote it, not Simon. You can see her sketching the characters in one of the final scenes, as SImon explains something to her. It's incredibly wholesome :3

Yeah, both Simon and Betty grew in their own way. They know they can’t be together in the this life and it’s sad, but they’re done holding onto the sad past and move forward to their futures. Maybe one day they can reunite, but for they they got their own things to do

Betty only wished for the power to keep Simon safe. Once she was sure he got the message, and would now remain safe, she was finally free to move on too. And thus will be reincarnated as a new catalyst comet. Or at least that's what I got out of the ending.

If we get a second season it should focus on Simon's relationship with Marceline, since his character is no longer solely centered around Betty. And after everything Simon needs to stop focusing on what was lost and look at what he gained.

I agree wholeheartedly with what you said at the end about Marceline. With Finn we got at least a complete view of how he stands regarding Simon, they're friends, they see each other enough that it was no surprise for Simon to randomly run into him at the bar, and Finn even went out of his way to hang with Simon to cheer him up. But then with Marcy it's really up to interpretation, we know at the very least they talk on the phone, but do they see each other anymore? Do they hang out? Is she traveling while he willingly stays with the other humans? He doesn't want to rely on her in fear that he'll bring her trouble, and we don't know if he ever does. We cannot know, and it bugs me.

I definitely think they care about each other for sure, but I think the main reason that I loved Simon not trauma dumping on Marcy is because he is a paternal role in her life. He wants her to feel that he's okay and I can easily understand why, so I'm happy he's going to therapy on his own. However, I still wish we saw a scene of them hanging out.

If golb never wanted all life exterminated, that would explain why The Lich was even trapped in that block. Maybe even Betty had an extreme impact on Golb itself, more than weve ever suspected. But hell, with the runes on the bus translating to 'Comet', and Golbetty just up and poofing, what becomes of Golb himself? When it comes down to it there's probably going to be a big storyline about golbs 'disappearance'. Hell, maybe something involving The Lich/ The other scholars of golb? (This is extreme levels of reaching but it just clicked in my head.)

I've been dealing with a breakup thay happened 6 months ago from a 4 year relationship. Watching both Fionna & Cake and your video definitely gave me a lot of perspective, so thank you for making this video. She was a great experience and my everything, she will always have a special place in my heart even though she broke my heart. We haven't talked since and it'll stay that way, but I know I can accept my love for her and move forward in life.

Personally, I think Beth is the reincarnation of Finn, and that Shermy is the reincarnation of Jake. Finn is more than just a hero, he's a catalyst of change, and Beth apears to be the major force of change for her era. Shermy on the other hand gives off major sidekick vibes.

I disagree with that. Beth is more mature like Jake, and Shermy appears to be more childish like Finn in the beginning of AT and as Finn he need to mature all the way down to become the catalyst of change.

@Kev-D-OG Actually The Bus doesn't say Comet. The person who claimed that said he got it from a Cipher in the Enchiridion. And the Enchiridion doesn't have a cipher in it. So No Betty isn't a comet

I think that Betty didn't split from GOLB, as suggested by the bus scene. But I do think that she is incarnated as a Comet, just that GOLB is part of her (this is just me cause I think the Comet she represents is Chaos)

Honestly I wasn’t satisfied with their endings. Don’t get me wrong though! I don’t think it was bad writing! It made sense. I just wish we could’ve gotten either a more hopeful ending, where both could at least reunite in the dead worlds, or one where both are happy. Betty’s smile seemed to instantly disappear after Simon stays behind and watches her get on. I just personally don’t agree with the message that Betty would’ve been happier if she had gone off and did things for herself. It cheapens her connection with Simon by basically saying she would’ve been much happier studying petroglyphs in Australia then pursing a relationship with Simon. I thought it was poetic, beautiful, and tragic that Betty and Simon both had this chance to live in this magical world surrounded by all these incredible things, but it never compared to the love they found in one another.

When it comes to Betty/Golb (Bolb?) I don't really get what her plan with the scarab was. Like who knows what she can do, and she decided to split him into weaker forms? Did she have a plan or something? And when it comes to the Casper Nova story, I get it, but couldn't an ending have been just to give up on the crown and they both hold the door then jump back at the same time, allowing them both to live, instead of Nova being crushed? Yes, I want a better ending for those 2 Also what happened to original Golb? Is it just dead now (cause the literal opening has the Golb item breaking at the head)? If Betty reincarnates will Golb come back? Will Golb eventually digest Betty and return? Or is Golb like Shermy, a prisoner in it's own mind but with no complaints (and probably no thoughts either)? Cause the lower set of eyes is still Golb's while the upper is Betty's

I don't think that was Golbetty's intent. She was probably trying to destroy the scarab but as we've seen scarabs powers make him just insanely resilient, it seemed like he literally killed some of the cosmic entities that Cake released to fight him, being I highly doubt are nobodies (well even if one of them was apparently just a gamer) seeing how they didn't seem to pay the Lich any kind of mind. Golb was probably putting in significant attempts to destory him, but his power to resist kept getting in the way. It's my personal theory that Golb actually grew to appreciate the arrangement. Golb didn't seem to try and fight betty at all, and if the crown wasn't strong enough to send golb out of the universe I doubt it has strength to kill him. My guess is that Golb found the fusion to betty to actually be beneficial and so decided to keep it.

I always thought that little scene was interesting because it seemed almost irrelevant to the actual special, but I think it might be a way to connect it with the Orgalorg arc from the original series. Especially since Martin is in the special I can see that being the case. But when it comes to the actual ramifications, I'm not entirely sure because Orgalorg wanted to absorb the power of the comet while this creature let it pass through.

i think the thing that bothers me...is I can definitly see why they needed to part and for her to do her own thing...which I definitly liked and I understand needing closure...especially simon who pined for her under the crown for a 1000 years searching for him princess who left him in the past...and we see not just simon's weakness in not realizing she was sacrifing for him before and his accidental enabling becuase he tended to take her at her word about her being happy or what she said she wanted instead of looking a bit deeper that she said that because she liked him and she hadnt realized she was doing that as much as she did because she did love simon and would jump to be around him even before he really knew her...we also saw again the asoects of her that were great but whih had led to her downfall..her tendancy to be a bit over confident and jump for what she wanted or her methods like jumping in the water or running and screaming to scare off teh snakes instead of realizing why simon was going the slow steady path and how it had worked out for her those other times..and how we know that tendancy of her was what led her to jump toward the future simon instead of staying with the simon in the past who needed her who maybe she could have had a stronger affect on becuase she didnt think to wait for context. and her tendacy to go do stuff like take him offering in a vague hypoethtical he didnt fully mean and to take it as a open invitation for his next trip which he then went along with. It hurts because god of course I can see the issues in their relationship because simon would have the answer to try to equal things out but then cave under betty pressure about what she wanted..like when he tried to insist she come out and take credit for the enchiridion find and she kept pushing that she wanted this to be his moment depsite his protests.....much like how he tried to stand firm in telling her he wanted to die and that she couldnt save him but he caved to her want to save him. and how she had seemed to know things and have stuff work out in ways he couldnt predict before. but what bothered me a bit is...simon was implied to have gone of a journay following her research to try to save her back right? wouldnt finn and jake have told him about what happened on mars at somepoint over the years. and how I kindof wish they had at least brought up more about why he didnt get on the bus...like how he didnt have a ticket....even if he had gone on that bus he wouldnt have been able to go on that trip with her once she got to the airport since he didnt have a ticket...like Betty was able to go on his trip yes...but she also had a bit more time to prepare and how she logiced she could go on her trip later. simon ran immediately from seeing the note to find betty who was already about to get on that bus.....as much as he thought about what if he had decided to just get on the bus with her is something I really like...I wish they had pointed out teh logic about how he didnt have a ticket. if maybe they mentioned..wha if he had said he's follow her to austrailia later...or even say that when she get sback that he hopes to meet up where they could call eachother or something til then...since her trip was suppoused to be temporary anyway....she was going to come back eventually even if it would be a while...it feels so final. ist also kinof interesting becuase betty on mars knew that if she met simon she would decide to go with him and actively follow him regardless so she sent her hypothetical her ahead on that trip. it didnt occur to her that simon would want to change a action he did...much like how he did want to know if he went with her on the trip would it have changed anything?...but he also wasnt in denial about how that wasnt the action he took and what it had led to...though damn I want to know what would have happened if he had stubbornly chosen to get on that bus with golbetty... honestly I half think golbetty cornered him into seeing the two options by showing him that game when realy life CAN have different options at times..... honestly I wonder.....even if he found the trip later after betty's trip.....would him having active;y done that make betty more willing to rely on others for help? would she havestayed with him in the past? or been more willing to take care of herself when she went to the future I wonder?

Hi, unfortunately, it seems this theory of Betty becoming a commit doesn't have much information to support it due to the words not having a proper translation. It's likely that this was on purpose, meaning that where Betty is going is a place that both Simon and us as the audience are not meant to understand.

Humans are born, we live, and we die, but they could follow a completely different paradigm (They exist, ???, transform maybe, ???, ???????????). Personally, this is why I find such entities fascinating, there is so much we don't know and therefore so much potential.
