I love that you’re doing this and stating the truth. The more people who watch it the better. I’ll admit I used to watch the X Factor and find some of the tantrums amusing, but at the time your clip just felt wrong, it was clearly a cruel set-up purely designed for gaining viewing figures. I also remember a really early one when the judges sat laughing at a quite young girl. It was pure humiliation at her expense and the cameras focused on her crying to her mum afterwards. There was something terribly wrong going on there too - it was as though her dignity meant absolutely nothing whatsoever to the production company, and she was simply regarded as collateral damage. At such a young and sensitive age too. I really don’t know how Cowell has got away with doing this to so many people. I’m right behind your fight-back Zoe.

Thank you for speaking out and exposing this horrible establishment called "soap-opera singing competitions" made by Simon Cowell. I felt strongly that there was a darker truth to be told after seeing your audition video. Everything about his shows are scripted and staged in a way to manipulate the viewers and create a sappy soap opera. Tara Simon (brilliant vocal coach) also exposed her x factor experience, saying Cowell's producers directly went after her to portray her as the show's villain, literally having other contestants wear hidden microphones around her! I seriously hate what he's done to music in general. He knows nothing about real music or what being a true artist is. All he wants to hear are annoying backing tracks with some attractive singer he can use to sell basic pop singles. Like seriously, his judging panels that feature the dweeb Louis Walsh, untalented Cheryl, etc. Who tf respects them in music! I hate the x factor so much. So for any musician out there who needs to hear this, you do not need tasteless Simon Cowell's approval to make it in the music industry. Nobody respects him other than his own team of followers. Be your own creative voice to tell your story and don't audition for any of these shows.

I really want to know how Susan Boyle has been treated. All this time, she has been pushed forward as an Idol poster child, but I have this sick feeling that she has been exploited and silenced in some way. The main reason I have concern for her is because she is slightly “simple” (no offense to Ms. Boyle), and could be very easily taken advantage of. Maybe you could do some exploration on that, Zoe? Thank you for what you’re doing.

I know how that feels. I spoke to the police following my last two assaults(both by the same man, within 4 months of each other) and was told that there was nothing they could do; there was no physical evidence, I don’t know exact specific details of the assailant’s name, address, make and model of his car, etc... it is awful to go through that only to get nothing out of it or any real justice.
