@@CptQuakers At least they wouldn't squeeze the clubs for fees, they wouldn't start rumours to raise value of players thus getting a higher fee, and if a player wants to leave a club and he's been transferlisted, it would be in the club's best interest to offload him, the better the players has performed at the club, the more willing the club would be to get him a good deal. You wouldn't get a Sancho situation, either he would have to buckle down or he would request a transfer, if the latter is the case it would be in the club's interest to offload him.

Premier league puts a nfl style hard salary cap in, and the European clubs will just ignore their nice lil cap and premier league will lose value because their teams won’t be as competitive. The NFL can cap salaries because there’s nowhere else to play gridiron football except them, and their owners were incredibly savvy to collective bargain for the cap decades ago instead fighting free agency the way Major League Baseball did.

Mr Jarman is making too much of his importance within a transfer. He should accept that he is doing this job for many reasons, and when those reasons are exhausted, i.e. when the player is contractually under the terms and conditions of his new club, he as an agent, does not have any financial or legal right to be involved anymore. If the purchasing club paid the agent as an employee, then Mr Jarman can dispute what he likes, but after decades of his like not having that club to agent relationship, then he should stop creating reasons that will never exist to be involved post sales of a player.
