I think Parker is going to be a good manager for Burnley. He seems a decent bloke and he sounds like he understands the club. He’s not Sean Dyche, who was our greatest manager, but hopefully he’ll be a close second

I'm from Burnley and said to my Claret mates that you can't blame the board if this doesn't work out. Parker is a proven Championship level manager who is young enough to improve and possibly become a Premier League level manager. On paper it's a very good appointment.

Our greatest manager was definitely not Sean Dyche, one of the best maybe but Potts, Adamson, Casper, Herbert and Cotterill all had to deal with massive problems including fiscal and the obnoxious Lord. The best was John Haworth who bought the F.A. Cup and League Championship to Turf Moor and created one of the best English teams ever.

Wtf? Why do people act like Scott Parker is some useless manager? Do they not realise the things he’s done previously? He’s had 2 PROMOTIONS with 2 different teams! He’s only 43 years of age, he’s very young for a manager and is still learning his trade. Sir Alex Ferguson told everyone that Scott Parker is one of the most promising young managers in English football.. But a bloke on the radio called Simon Jordan thinks he knows better than one of the greatest football managers of all time. He’s more than earned the right to manage a top club in the Championship again.
