I think the biggest take away from this season is how good Simon’s short game is. He is known for his power, but he has excellent speed control in the open and has a great putting range. He is also one of the few players on tour that utilizes the glitch for tricky spin putts.

Yeah, I wasn’t expecting Simon to win 4 again like last year, but I thought he’d win at least one. Winning two is awesome! I’m rooting for Simon at every tournament, and I hope he can get another win at one of these last tournaments to close out the season. Winning MVP Open would be so insane to do it back to back and with switching to MVP!

James Conrad started MVP’s rise and Simon has just made a huge leap forward for them. The Simon Line of discs starts in late September and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Time Lapse become one of the top selling discs. I think Simon gets at least one more win this year. A great decision by MVP, so far… Who gets Gannon Buhr at the end of this year? Will top guys now want their own ‘line’ of discs?

In a real-life scenario, sure. When it's your "job" to talk about the accomplishment of others, people tend to go negative, and their audience usually eats it up. Then, just swoop in with an "apology" video to get more views.

I wont use hindsight to say anything but I would say that it would be weird to factor in Vegas much at all considering it was his first event with new discs. Conrad took a while too. Vegas is always gonna favor players who bring back the same bag from years before. Otherwise, top notch.

I hoped for the best and prepared for the worst… after all, this season was an example of what Simon can do for the sport on and off the field. We can’t think of disc golf, without thinking of Simon Lizotte. His impact has grown over the years and still is. At this point in his career, it almost feels like, it’s not important if he actually wins tournaments. It’s just important he shows up. Of course, he will not catch Wysocki or McBeth in terms of wins, but Simon is the most popular Disc Golf player of this century by far (that being said… it’s still a long century ahead of us 😉). He is selling stuff like crazy just by mentioning it- and not only Discs! And he is versatile in his career path. I hope he will have a beautiful and victorious autumn of his active disc golf career. But I’m almost sure, he will have a big impact on the sport even after his last throw at a professional tournament.

Simon is a pro. A real pro. Meaning if you give him a bag of discs he’s never used he’s still a legit pro throwing those discs. Give any pro some time to get used to new discs and they’ll be right back where they were at the least. I wasn’t expecting him to do as good as he is though. I think I can speak for 99% of frolfers when I say he deserves every bit of success he earns and more. I respect the heck out of him
