Mouratoglou still not being suspended when he admitted giving her the substance? I don't get it. Thank you Andy for continuing to point out that he is a significant player in this.

Hi, Andy. It eventually turned out she actually did declare it on the form, she wrote "Schinoussa recovery drink", but ITIA considered it wasn't specific enough because it's a blended drink from two Schinoussa products, one of which is the colagen supplement Keto MCT. I don't believe it was her intention to obscure anything with this, but apparently they did.

Why is everyone tiptoeing around PMs culpability in this. Call the sucker out and shame him. Instead it’s all like backyard whispering.

Love Simona, welcome back!
@goldwolf06068 ай бұрын
Simona is 99% innocent. The 1% was her not properly vetting that cheater Coach Patrick MFer… she’s like Andy Murray and has always been against dopers and for testing. Not like steroidovic who’s been against testing… I was surprised she had a positive test to begin with and I was not surprised at all when she was acquitted. She doesn’t have the mentality of a cheater. She lost many finals before finally winning one. She had nothing to gain by doping. She’s at the end of her career, and an automatic hall of famer.

Glad Simona is back, one of my favorite players. She always played hard and with passion without screaming her lungs out. Shame though, the damage has been done. I pray for her moving forward.

I'm totally with you Andy on the black and white nature of the arguments. I showed up to a discussion with a nuanced argument weighing both sides, and had people tearing into me like I was some kind of hater. People, it's fine to criticize or be skeptical of Halep, and still wish her well and root for her to make a comeback.

I believe that Simona didn't do it internationally! Definitely it was a mistake! But it is sad to see that something is wrong with ITIA ruling, so many times this happened! I am so happy that Simona will play again!!👏

I kinda wonder how Mouratoglou was Serena's coach for so long without a misstep and with Halep for a much shorter period of time and this happens immediately.

Hi Andy, methinks you and Jon Werthiem need to be reminded that Canada is one of the G7 nations. It’s not unheard of for Canada to be producing supplements and medication and athlete recovery.beverages. His remark was definitely insulting to this tennis fan North of the U.S.
@MrQ4548 ай бұрын
And those Canadian supplements (they gave Halep) were made with Chinese substances instead of what they said on the label! I could be wrong but it also seems that Canada does not have a very good verification system in place for these products.
@valeriejohnson87718 ай бұрын
@@MrQ454 I was not aware of that fact, so thank you. I wonder if the U.S.A has a better system in place.

Punishment never fitted the crime. If the crime is accidentally ingestion or case in South America or meat contamination, 6-12 months. 2nd offence different.

The problem with Andy's view is that if an athlete has been regularly doping over many years and not being pulled up for it, there's no reason to stop. Which isn't to say Halep has been intentionally doping. Just that Andy's risk-reward analysis doesn't make any sense if she has been. I agree it's unlikely that she suddenly started doping this late on (though hardly impossible, people do all kinds of crazy things, who'd have thought at the time that Agassi was on meth?), but that's not the only possible narrative if indeed she has been doping. She might also have been at it for years. Or not. None of us can really say. Her physique has looked a bit PEDsy for several years. But that's not actual proof of anything.
