Simon! Many thanks for stirring up old memories from 1971-75. My wife and I lived in Brandon Hall thru which the Little Ouse ran nearby. We used to go to the river and swing on a rope from a very large tree and fall into the water. Brandon was our first married home and our first child was born at RAF Lakenheath. So many good times and memories from Brandon, Suffolk and all of the UK. We began our camping adventures in England and continue to this day (although we are in a caravan more often than not). Thanks again for the memories!!! Dan A. aka The Kingfish.....

Two of my top favourite blokes together, what more could I ask for on a Wednesday nights viewing bloody great trip lads. Great to see you out in the canoe again Simon and what a river to be paddling first time back on the water mate. Great food both the curry and that breakfast!! Couldn't be fed anything better in a adventure I reckon! Simon, thank you so very much for giving the new charity adventure a shout out like you just did. Rick will be over the moon mate. I just love being taken along on your little trips. Sadly I haven't been able to fit in a camp since before Christmas time, plus it's been too hot for camping the twice I could have gone. I don't camp in 35-40C weather if I can help it. The waterway was so peaceful and watching the birds always gives me a bit of joy, I just love watching nature. Thanks for taking us along with you again. I will be looking forward to your trip with Andy. It's a pity that Mrs in the Woods isn't a camper, she doesn't know what she's missing. Hubby is the same, not a camper but lets me go off and do my camping thing. Take care.

Love watching your videos Simon. They are a great collection of the old and the new in camping; the old stove and the new hammock. I was watching you unload your gear when you got to your site and for the life of me I could not figure out what the heck the furry looking thing was. At first, I thought it was a wooly scarf or piece of clothing. I had to laugh, when I saw it was your sit-pad. Keep these coming and I am jealous this is what a blustery cold winter day looks like for you. Very different for me in February in Canada. LOL

Great video! I laughed out loud when you got out the croissants -- here in Texas, my husband and his family call those cannisters "wop-wops!" Because you "wop" (hit) them on the edge of a counter or table to break them open (small, uninspiring "explosions"), lol!

So many great things. Nice adventure. Like the camo tarp, neat barges, canoes, wildlife. Thought of buying a Rome waffle iron. Recommend testing the coals with back of hand palm and inside side of fingers are sensitive and more damage. Had kipper snack herring in tomato sauce with fresh sourdough for supper once last week. Nice.
