I should have a word with your Butcher, those Sausages were Chipolatas, nowhere near big enough for that Ketchup! I make Corned Beef Hash when the wife is on a late shift and find stirring in a small can of chopped tomatos before the beans helps clean the pan and makes the dish less dry / claggy in the mouth. If you add the chilli sauce with the toms and stir in, that also helps make it better somehow. Have you tried making a corned beef pie? Use left over mash mixed with the beef and fried onion (no beans) and bake as a pie in shop bought pastry, cold, cut into slices, it makes a great way of getting red or brown sauce into your mouth without a spoon!

Good to see Maggie out and about the weather is good for her now. I had to let my boy go on November 30th 😔 ... I told you about him in the summer he was struggling with the heat... he was on wheels for the last 8 months or so but he became too poorly and I had to do the right thing for him. Funnily enough the woman who loaned me his wheels is from your neck of the woods ... her group is called Winston's wheels , the woman who runs it is an angel, without her I wouldn't have got that extra time with my boy.

@@Kathy_Is_Blessed He was an old man , 14 years old and he lost the use of his back legs in December 2019/January which is when I put him on wheels, he loved them for most of the time he was on them they gave him freedom back again but the last few weeks of his life he went poorly and couldn't rest at night so I had to help him out and let him cross the bridge ... it hurts and I miss him but if hes at peace and not in pain then that's all that matters.

Another excellent camp, Simon. Only you can take soggy, flooded ground and grey, overcast, chilly weather and make it feel like the most comfortable and welcoming spot to be! Nicely done. Good to see Maggie's fuzzy head again too! Looking forward to the upcoming Christmas video but if you didn't hang a stocking beside the ammo can stove, I'm going to be slightly disappointed. 😂. BTW, you have a small, Nova Scotia care package coming your way. Unfortunately it probably won't make it in time for Christmas. Regardless, a very Merry Christmas to you and your family and all the best in the New Year. Looking forward to it! Cheers! - Darby 🇨🇦

Simon, for cleaning the pan, sprinkle baking soda into the bottom (about 2 tbsp per cup of water). Add enough hot water to cover burnt parts by 1-inch and let soak on the wood stove for a bit then scrape bottom should come off EZ... If any remains, sprinkle baking soda into the pan and add a few drops of water to form a paste, and rub clean.

Beeeautifull morning shoot mi amigo 👍🏽👍🏽 can not thank you enough for that !!!!! Seriously outstanding 👏☕🤗 awesome chow 😋 I don't know what u know or don't, so I'm going to throw this out there. U know how it goes. BUT, ur messy fry pan is ALOT easier to wash if I add a pinch of soap and enough water to cover bottom ... Put it on the stove WHILE enjoying your meal and drink !!! I learned this from an ole french chef moons ago. Works so well I do it at home also. But of course the trick is not to burn the pan while cooking 😂😅😁 U can pour a bit of wine and butter/oil into the pan also ( instead of the soap and water ) Which makes a nice broth for adding to other ingredients. I'm ashamed to say that I cannot remember the name that he told me was used for that particular method. Nice to see you clean up so soon after...... Saves a lot of heartache when it's cold and dried on 😵 Love ur stuff dude !!! But tell me what kinda sack material do you use for coffee ☕ making... Ur draw string bag ?! Bet u grind really course ! Eh ?? Peace and keep on rocking the free world ☺️

Simon, thank you for treating Maggie so good. NICE Canoe! I like that stove with the baffle plate below the chimney and the grate to keep the wood off the bottom and out of the ashes, but it needs an ash pan that can be slid out the front. Ask Santa for a non stick fry pan for Christmas!!! Hmmmm That 'teaser' at the end... I have cooked with a dutch oven that way, called bean hole cooking over here. Make up in the morning, build a good fire down to coals, set the DO in with the coals not touching the bottom, put the rest on the lid and cover with an inch (2.5 cm) of dirt. Go exploring all day and come back to a nice warm meal. (Warning! Takes some practice...) Loved Maggie with that wreath and the lights on the tent pole. Peace, and Merry Christmas. Jerry N.
