Watching this in 2021, she just announced she is not competing in FX finals. I am VERY proud of her for doing what his right for her mental and physical health, but I am also terribily missing her presence during these Olympic Games. What a queen she is ❤️

As the nurse told me when I got my first kidney stone... Even after having her kiddos naturally, her kidney stone hurt worse than childbirth by far! Dear Lord I can't imagine remotely functioning in that amount of pain at the level she has. Because I could barely move from the couch! Freaking superwoman right there!

A .3 step on her Moors OOB and a .3 step on her Biles that she usually sticks going into her stag leap. If she'd managed her usual landings, her execution score would've easily gone to a 9. Unbelievable. That's an extra .7 to this already astronomical score. 15.7 on floor, in THIS quad? #JustSimoneThings I'm really pulling for her to have a perfect day with her event finals. She deserves it after having such rough Team and All-Around performances.

She only went OOB on her Moors. And it was with one foot. Her D score is 6.6 as opposed to 6.7 because she saw that she was going to go OOB on her Biles + Stag so she just did the Biles and didn't connect it

Mark Tam The step she took OOB was a .3 step. I wasn't commenting on the ND she received for going OOB. Obviously that was only .1, but the step size itself was still .3.

I'd think the fact that I'm commenting on her E score and not the penalties would be clue enough as to what was meant, or if nothing else, the fact that I went on to further clarify that I wasn't talking about the NDs she received for going OOB.

People who say she didnt deserve her win dont know what theyre talking about, simone didnt perform her best yes, but the code is both excution and difficulty , and even with the falls, simone has no built in deductions like low chest position, bent knees, leg separations , so when she falls and her score is still as good as the other girls, that shows you she isnt overrated and she deserves the win because no other gymnast can do she does across all 4 events

Amazing that she could compete like this with a kidney stone! She is really good at masking pain, but you can sort of tell that she's definitely in some pain throughout. Not quite the same bubbly personality at the end, and also she didn't even attempt the stag jump after The Biles. I think each day, with each additional competition it's taking more and more out of her. I hope she can keep her level up going forward to the event finals. But it wouldn't surprise me if she withdraws from the championships after the uneven bars final (since that's the medal she really wants to win).
