if you watch its all in her round off back handspring. She stays very long which allows her to generate more power. I wish more gymnasts would pay attention to this detail.

@@33badyess I notice that too. It's the angles she uses. Her technique and timing are spectacular. Also her muscle-body weight ratio has a bearing. Besides all of that, she is special.

Cory Nicolas Wait until she adds her triple double, and then I suspect she’s gonna move her Chusovitna+split jump in replacement of her front full step out to full-in. She’d have 7.0+ difficulty. She could fall twice and probably still win this event.

Noah Byrd I’m not sure about falling twice because if she didn’t go out of bounds she’d have a 15.3 and then add 0.3 which would be 15.6 last year so unless 2nd place doesn’t get or surpass a 13.6 Simone wouldn’t win

She rocketed forward with the punch layout, basically traveled 2m extra. I’m sure she can control the momentum and spring upwards and perfectly fit inbound ☺️👌🏼

holy freaking flying batman! girl ate some springs and then turned them into magic! When this is controlled a tad more... wow...unstoppable!! a full twisting double layout to a split jump..no worries.. the biles into a punch front lay...um...WTF! a combo 3rd pass with a full in back out .. sure and then... (EDITED: thanks to the 12 people correcting me) her signature Double Double to finish! How she doesn't even remotely run out of steam is beyond me. When she upgrades to her Triple she will be out of this world competing in her own unique galaxy. She's unstoppable! Love her! is she human???

me too. i felt like i didn't draw a breath while watching her. i said to my friend that not only has her tumbling become insane but her dancing has kicked up and wow, the music set my heart on fire. much higher tumbling and her spotters are going to need harnesses from the roof. she has changed what i see possible in the human body. not mine of course... lol

Excatley! She just increased her E score by doing a less difficult run with the same points, because it has less landing deductions! Plus it saves wear on her body and she has more energy for the rest of the routine! Smart move indeed

She was smart to downgrade from the Moors to the Chusovitina punch to split jump. Both give the same value while one has one less full twist

Yes, and they can't take much deductions on the landing. She was getting at least 3 tenths deducted on the landings of her Moors. Now, this pass has the same value and almost no deductions on the landing. So she's actually increasing her e score by doing this pass and using less energy. Smart move Simone!

That second pass - goodness!!! When she came out of that Biles she just bounded into that front layout. Maybe if she used the mat on that pass that could help blunt the power a little so she'd stay in bounds. But even going out of bounds it was gorgeous. Wait until she adds the triple double! And could she add back the Moors?! She has so many options, and they're all more difficult than anyone else will perform in the world. We're witnessing something legendary!

Her tumbling sequences are amazing - better than ever and hard for anyone to match. The musicality and other moves though seemed a bit more tired than normal. Maybe not surprising considering how much energy she must need for such difficult tumbling. Excited for Tokyo 2020
