To me, he is much more important, valuable, influential and inspiring than names as Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos …etc. Big mind, big heart he is. I can listen to him forever 💛 Thank you for this great interview 🫶

So my wife works at a computer center about 25 miles outside of our town. We live in South dakota, so snow is always a concern during the winter time, and will sometimes shut down the road so she can't get there. She's only required to be at work two days a week. Aside from the snow events, but not having a hundred-dollar gas pump bill every week is a definite plus. I can definitely say that not having to go to work physically and being able to do your job from home will definitely help with people who can't pay for gas to get to work.

The catch is when everyone does it the advantage disappears since the cost then goes into rent or house prices... So the question really is what lifestyle is healthiest and has the best economic impact as well...

Simon distinction between optimism and toxic positivity is crucial for leadership, especially in high-growth environments like ServiceNow. Emphasizing realistic optimism over blind positivity can sustain morale and drive genuine engagement among teams.

We need a culture of meritocracy. That everyone has the same access to resources, but the best are the ones that get the roles and positions, regardless of the color of their skin, gender, etc

Do people really get the same access to resources?
@Arboflye2
@Arboflye2 4 ай бұрын
@@Here4TheHeckOfIt no, but such is life. Also, the access to resources has nothing to do with race, origin or gender, but the conditions of your life, which is almost impossible to measure. The same way, that someone who is born in Southern California has better chances in life than someone born in Venezuela… there’s a part of life that’s just luck.

Too broad a statement; being the best qualified isn't the only key, so is fitting in, being likeable, being trustworthy. You need to be humble, hungry, and smart

24:30 Common problem is that higher management hasn't been doing grunt work for years. Due to that, modern problems grunts face are alien for said management personnel. If the management is extremely focused on hitting numbers and doesn't listen to and try to fix grunt's problems, then you're left with management which doesn't understand how their firm is serving their customers. If people have all the time dollar signs in their eyes, they don't know what they are doing. Focus on doing the best work you can do, try to improve yourself and serve the customers with positive attitude, the money will come on it's own instead of you needing to hunt it. Don't sell your time to an employer or a manager who doesn't fight for you. And if you are a manager, fight for your employees and listen to them so they have your back.

Simon is awesome. But the egotistical grandstanding of the female interviewer, EVEN AFTER Simon gently brought her down a few pegs, is nauseating and disappointing. She’s not there for Simon, she’s there for herself. Ironically.

What about citing women who have promoted ideals in society? Corporate america could make a change if they put people and environmental health before profits ....that will have a ripple effect on supporting individuals, families, communities, and as a result corporate wellness.

I'd love to know what was going thru Simon's mind from 4:30 - 5:00. She listed off a bunch of "big achievements" all based around the company's revenue or market influence and nothing about people at all. His face makes me bet that he was not impressed.
