I recently made a similar recipe but used my instant pot. By using my instant pot I shaved off a good 45 minutes or more. Turns out great 😁

I would ..for me..simmer that ham bone for an hour or so before adding the beans. It can take a bit to render flavor. Great recipe. Plan to try next time.

Soaking the beans ahead of time wouldn't "add" too much to the cook time. It's just soaking beans. The other questionable stuff she does takes way more time than just prepping beans to soak. Go gurl
