I use beeswax and coconut oil, 1:1 for vegetable tan leather. The coconut oil does not go rancid or get sticky because its composition is mostly saturated.

Add essential oil you can use as a beard balm.

Why after 2 to 3 days my shoes smell bad, like stale cooking oil. Even though I have added a few drops of lavender fragrance 😳

Oil goes rancid

Because of the food grade vegetable oils they go bad, you need to use oils that have been treated to not spoil, such as some oils used for wood or painting or use products made for leather

1lb beeswax, 1 toilet ring wax, 1 container Vaseline, 12oz coconut oil. Heat ingredients together until fully melted allow to cool & apply. Is it 100% natural - obviously not but it damn sure works on everything from firearms to leather and waterproofs any garment

The vaseline will deteriorate leather and plastic surfaces with time because it's petroleum jelly, silicone oil/grease might be a better replacement but idk how it will interact with your other ingredients

@@Yelladog78 hope all is well 😊 it deteriorates slowly so probably keep an eye on the delicate parts, also I am 100% sure that the other ingredients will slow it down alot

@@WYO_Cowboy_Joe like I've already said I've been using it over 20 years regularly without issue, in fact I have the same leather wallet my wife made me in 1995 and it's perfectly fine so obviously it takes a long long long time 😁

@@Yelladog78 yeah I think the main thing is that the leather possessions won't last for generations, and maybe it also depends on the type of leather and how it was treated
