Looks delicious! I love me some breakfast and you nailed that. If you look at the back where your griddle actually sets in the frame you can lift it up and put some high heat washers on the griddle legs so when you set it back down it will be higher in the back. Do it as needed on any corner and you can level it to suit your needs.

We do something called River Breakfast that we have when we are camping. Anxious to try it on the griddle. Usually in the skillet. We brown sausage up and move it aside, next we fry our potatoes up with diced onions, peppers and mushrooms. We add the sausage back to the mix. Next we add shred cabbage to cook it till it’s done, cover to steam. Next it’s time to scramble eggs up in the whole mixture. Went those are done we add lots of cheese! Delicious!

I make something like this in a skillet on the stove. I call it breakfast hash or breakfast skillet. My favorite meat to use is leftover bratwurst that were grilled last night. I dice up the brats in 1/2" or so chunks. I cook up potatoes & onions first. When they're done I add in the brats. After the brats are hot I add shredded cheese, crack an egg over that and steam it all to melt the cheese and cook the egg. The smoky flavor of the grilled bratwurst just gives it a special oomph. Can't wait to do it on the griddle instead of the kitchen stove. (I'll still be grilling the brats, tho)
@waltwins

Thank you so much for watching! If the griddle is cleaned, it could be that the eggs are cooking too quickly, and slightly burning. We’d recommend doing the eggs after you turn the griddle off so the heat doesn’t maintain too high. We also did. That watching them and moving them quickly helps! Always at very low temp. This is just a suggestion, as I agree with you guys when you say do what works for you and the rest is just noise. This is the way I do it and just wanted your thoughts. The only difference in the way I do it, is I like to mix (whatever you are putting in the eggs) in this case sausage and hash browns, first and then move that to the hot spot and pour the eggs over the mixture and cook the eggs. This way I get a good coat of the eggs on the other ingredients so each bite tends to have some of everything in it. Again this is nothing special and I have done it both ways, I just really like the results a little better. Love watching and learning from you guys, this has quickly turned into my favorite channel on KZbin.

I have three Kids that dislike vegetables so I try to sneak them in wherever I can. Diced onions, red and green peppers add both a bit of colour as well as a bit more of that food group. Sauté them and slip ‘em over to the side like you did with the sausage... Just a thought. Please keep up the fun energy and new items. Thank you!

Thank you so much for watching fam! After the cook and clean, we lay a thin layer of oil and wipe it with paper towels. We repeat this process until the paper towel is clear, because the oil has pulled up all the extra “gunk.” Then when we cook the next time, we wipe again and do the process to one or two times. This has ensured clear food every time!🤙🤙

What do you do during cleanup?
@waltwins
@waltwins 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching! If you search our videos, we have a simple “how to clean the Blackstone” video - essentially, after the burners are off (you can even sit and enjoy your meal, although I find cleanup so quick, I do it right after cooking), I scrape the griddle, wipe with towel/paper towels, and scrape more if needed. If it’s a really dirty cook and food gets stuck, I’ll use some water to create steam to pull up the food (make sure the burners are off, otherwise the steam will burn!) - then, I wipe again. I will then use oil (when the griddle is still warm but not hot) - I find that “cleaning” with the oil really works well to pull up any dark coloring left. I do this until the paper towels pull up oil that is close to the original color. Once the griddle is completely cooled, I put one more very thin coat of oil on the griddle to keep it from rusting. Hope this helps!! Take care!🤙🤙

We have a countertop air fryer and never had any luck with it. Going to have to try it again, but it did nothing for the French fries. Maybe we over loaded the basket. You must have to do small batches and you can’t over load the basket I’m assuming. Great cook though.

Video was well done! The secret to scrambled eggs is to STOP cooking them well before you think they are done and before they start to brown on the grill (stove) The internal heat will do the rest. This is the biggest ROOKIE mistake! Low and slow IS THE best APPROACH TO ANY KIND OF EGGS. Cook on the medium-low side of your grill top. Patience, Grasshopper! Spoken by a master line chef of many, many years cooking his way through undergraduate and graduate degrees. Sadly, my wife thinks I am full of BS and "toasts" my scrambled eggs whenever she applies her 'mom skills'. Grandpa is in the background and the two grandchildren that she is trying to get off to school are in the foreground. My breakfast gets toasted in preference of the grandkids. I LOVE IT and wouldn't have it any other way. However, if you are looking for the secret to good scrambled eggs . . . .

Haha! All amazing fam! For sure we’ve gotten much better at the eggs, this was a couple of years ago, and now we love it - we turn the griddle off or to low and do the eggs, much easier to control the cook. Much love fam. GRIDDLE ON!🔥🔥
